Yeah I'm in the same boat. Nothing against Bournemouth but don't want to see the same teams who went down come straight back up. Would be nice to see Barnsley go up, though they would absolutely certainly go straight back down with very few points

I agree Steve. I'd like to see Barnsley go up. They would probably go back down with a record low points total, but the one season in the EPL would give them an opportunity to invest in better players.

Yeah they could potentially do what the likes of Norwich and other "yo-yo" clubs have done and even if it takes a couple of goes, hopefully they could grow and benefit

Dismissing us before we even get promoted as the worst ever Premier League team. We should have beat Chelsea in the cup, they are in the final today, and in the champions league final.
We have outplayed Norwich in 2 of the 3 games against them, and only Buendia magic beat us at theirs. And they have easily been the best team in the league.
That said the club would be set up for 10 years if we made it.

Depends on which cup you're talking about. Their second string did put 6 past you in the League Cup. Wouldn't say you'd get the lowest points rally ever of you did get up. But it would be a massive shock if you didn't go straight back down. One I'd be delighted to see! I still remember when Neil Redfearn, Adie Moses at al were up last time and the PL was a better place for Barnsley being in it

Parachute payments i believe are for three years.So,if a team goes down they get the first years payment.But wot if that team goes straight back up.Are the two remaining payments automatically cancelled ? These parachute payments are definitely creating an unfair playin field.

Used to be that if a team went back up, they forfeited parachute payments and they went into a pot for rest of the league. Not sure if it’s still the same. Parachute payments distort the league.

I've just been told dat if a team only has one season in the Prem then their para payments are only for two years. But still it's heavily weighted in favour of clubs dat get dem.

So, the Fools and Albion will only get two years of payments while Sheff Utd will get three.

Nothing between the two teams, apart from a quality finish from Ayew and the crossbar. No lack of effort from the players, but we were a bit lacking in the final third. I though Morris made a big difference in the second half, though Brittain was my MOTM. This tie is not over by any stretch of the imagination, although I'd accept Swansea are now favourites.
