I seriously doubt Rangers will be spending at that level on him. Watford it is

Aberdeen need a complete freshen up, wouldn’t be gutted if he left for Watford but he has a long contract so they hold all the cards this time

Don't particularly want him. Certainly not at that price.

I’d sell and get

Alan Campbell
Martin Boyle
Jackson Irvine
Jamie McGrath

If he was 2-2.5m I'd be interested. But I think his price will be much higher than that.

think around £4m will get him

Our squad just needs some added quality just now though, so would rather another attacker or a better Cm

Not sure we’ll have cash to spend anyway, probably depends who leaves. If we do make a good fee on someone would absolutely take him for 3m or less

He wouldn’t get a game for us from what I have seen.

He might improve with better players around him.

£5m would be way too much imo.

Declan Gallacher
Scott Brown
Jay Emmanuel Thomas (Jet)

already done

Clark Robertson a mibee

so things moving fairly quickly

Ash Taylor, Shay Logan, Greg Leigh, Tommie Hoban, Bruce Anderson all gone already, and the 3 loans we had I doubt will return

in this current climate £5m isn't a lot

£2m Watford bid knocked back

Broony not even in the door and he’s scared the wee sheite off already.

Watford offered less than 1.5m.

About the right price in my book. We could probably get it to 1m by telling uncle Barry to pass on a few messages and have him kick up a stink.

5m is fantasy land. Clubs are skint in relative terms.

Would be 2m in a usual summer imo, be lucky to get that though.

Good long term replacement for Arfield though.

sorry £1.2m rising to £2m

Watford will get a few quid for promotion to the PL

They are definitely the most likely destination and the team you would get most money from if it’s between us and them.

Offering 1.2m to start doesn’t bode well for getting close to 5m. Getting them to double it would be some going. Hope you get good money if he goes down there though.

Aberdeen hold the cards at least until Ferguson puts in a request or makes it known who he wants to join

He isn't really that good.

Playing on the back of his family heritage.

No thanks.

I think to a point. But I also think he had the weight of the name too. He didn't look good v Rangers this season, but he's added goals and I think still has improvements left in him.

I don't see him fitting our recruitment strategy at the price Aberdeen are looking for, but that offer from Watford for what they clearly consider to be a player good enough for "the best league in the world" is a bit of a joke. It's pretty tiresome seeing English clubs offering big wages to players in Scotland while lowballing the clubs with token transfer fees.
