With a second look of the new Conference League I think why not? We deserve the Conference League. We would give our youngster a platform to play some football.

Will be interesting to see if Azeez and Balogun go on loan next season. With ECL I think they will stay, with just a domestic campaign they could both go (Azeez most likely).

Would rather give it a miss, don't think the positives stack up against the cons

Some European football is better than no European football for the purpose of youth development. If we do qualify it should be for reserve team players only

Some fans feel that making this competition will cause longer term damage to the club and an even further decline.

We have to beat Brighton to even stand a chance of 7th and hope others drop points.

The early rounds might be a bit naff, but later on teams from Champions League and Europa League will have dropped down into it.

If we just play youth and fringe players I don’t mind being in it. Europa, especially the group phases, have been great for developing the current crop of younger players, so not having a competition to give the youth minutes would be a shame. Other than that there’s no real benefit to being in it. Just hope we use no first team in it and our full focus is on the league, if not then I definitely would rather us not play in it.

I started a thread a while back on this subject but people didn’t think we had a chance of it (I think it’s 50-50 now).

In theory I am marginally in favour as a way of blooding the youngsters but in practice I am definitely against.
This is because “in theory” it should be the same with the League Cup, it should have no impact on our first team, however, in practice I think the League Cup DOES negatively impact our Premier League campaign. 😕

Just feels like a pointless exercise for us at this moment in time.

Would be nice to get a win today and finish above Spurs, but would rather have a season out of Europe than have to play in the conference. If we do qualify for it then lets play the kids and not first team.
Vital that we get back i to CL next season.
