I think Chelsea bottled the final and tried their best to bottle top 4 today.
Don't think Rodgers is a top manager just a decent one
He had no right to even be up there, with the injuries they had this season. I get the banter but seriously is there no nuance at all in how fans perceive football? A team overachieves to get to a final or to top four and just miss out = bottlejob? No context, no ober analysation, nothing?
Thoughts are if we had a stronger squad then might be able to see out a whole season. Certain injuries killed us - last season having the whole defence out and this season key players for long periods which at a club with more money might not be such an issue.
If he was at arsenal I would think you would be doing a lot better than you are now

Let’s not pretend we wouldn’t want Brendan over Arteta. The fact that he has Leicester in the champions league conversation every season is a miracle on its own considering the players they had lost and the budget he has compared to us. He rarely signs a bad player, knows the market extremely well and his team play an exciting dynamic style of football. This has been a shocker of a season for us, the team suddenly puts together a few results when their is zero pressure and everything is better again 🤦♂️.
Miles clear of Arteta anyway
OP, you're having thoughts about Brendan Rogers?
I'd get that seen to, mate.

But this is the problem - should we be setting the bar as low as "he's better than Arteta"? We're shoving a few late defeats under the carpet for him as Leicester manager, but let's not pretend we'd be doing the same thing for him as Arsenal manager.
If Arsenal had Leicester’s injuries they’d have finished below Newcastle.
Was the Liverpool he managed and won no trophies with better than this Arsenal side?

I think he would have us contending for top 4 with the very same squad. He has a sense of how he wants to play and seems to be good about managing his players. Injuries scampered him 2 seasons in a row.
Arteta has had a mostly fit squad this year other than Partey and Luiz. Yes I still don't know what formation, tactics and instructions are the ones we should be using. And his management of certain players (Martinelli, Reiss Nelson, Willian, Pepe) has been shocking.
