why on earth would Chelsea sign Falcao, looks a certainty now

its a bit of a gamble worth taking for me, if he gets a full pre season under his belt, even if hes only 75% of the player he was before his knee injuries he would be a useful backup for costa

He was nothing buit sheite at Utd, surely £25m would be better spent on benteke, Lacazetter etc

oh are they signing him on a permanent deal, that is too risky

posted on 3/6/15

apparently so

If it's a cheap deal don't see the problem, he was poor for United but they spent most of the season lumping the ball up to Fellaini, RVP and rooney weren't great either

If he can be given a proper pre season injury free he would slot into our team well, he literally has to provide some movement in the box, something he is excellent at and he's going to score goals, if he he's 50%, he's a good third choice, if he's 75% he's good 2nd choice, anything higher he'd be our best forward and if Mourinho thinks he can get higher from him it's well worth a gamble

If it doesn't work out it still at least means Bamford can get a PL loan rather than stay and barely play, it's someone to help Solanke too and Traore the best option we have currently for a third striker still isn't eligible for a work permit

I'd rather see Falcao signed than a younger striker like Benteke, who one would want to be first choice and 2 would mean less game time for any striker we have coming through in the future, something Falcao and Remy don't

But even then you're basing us signing him on the daily mail

Bamford will never ever be good enough for Chelsea

posted on 3/6/15

Probably not, which is why we need another striker

And since Mourinho came back he's got pretty much all his signings right, even ones like Schurrle that were sold, still did well for us

Luis and Cuadrado two that haven't shown their best for us yet but haven't had much game time to do that, sure if they play regularly they'd prove to be good additions, especially Luis

Can't think of anyone that has been an outright flop, so would have to trust his judgement tbh
