Luiz is the best defender at Chelsea its not his fault hes always the last man, if his team mates defended properly he wouldnt be in them situations.

Bosingwa is the only defender ive ever seen keep Messi completley out of a game, especially at the nou camp and playing on the wrong side...

Luiz is better than koscielny was when he first joined arsenal its taken him a full season too become reasonably solid. Luiz was solid straight away been shakey this season but every chelsea defender has, hes been better than all but ivanovic. yesterday he made a mistake everyones picked up on but no one consideres the fact that A Ba was offside, B he actually had hold of luiz on the back pulling him downwards anyway and C it was his team mates who put him in that position. People going way too far saying hes a liability they should probably look at Ashley Cole, virtually every chelsea fan wants Luiz starting and Cole dropped for Bertrand, tells you something about whos playing worse

Luiz conceded 2 penalties again, 1 that was rash, which i will concede he is but thats going to be whiped out the more games he played just like it has been with koscielny.

His one bad game was vs Stoke which is understandable playing a team who just came and put long balls in and used a lot of strength is very different to what hed have been used to, he slipped for the united goal at the end of the season too but tbf lots of players slip thats not really a mistake it happens, ivanovic and terry were much worse in that game.

He's a good defender, 2 managers seem to persist with him despite having a very good defender in Alex and plenty of money to be a new one so they must think hes got something. Maybe better suited to FB atm but in time hell be a very good CB for us imo just got to calm down, too eager to impress by stopping everything

He won MOTM in 4 of his first 7 games for us, this season its really harsh to judge when no one is defending in our team. Coles been the worst but any non arsenal fan would be very quick to say hes the best or top 3 LBs in the world
