Salah, Neymar and Mbappe all been pretty pants, Neymar especially. All about Wijnaldum and Milner this game
Liverpool should have quite comfortably smashed them ska, daft mistakes though!
Possibly, but PSG also only had 3 real chances all game, Liverpool were comfortably the better side
And look like they've got a deserved win!
Pants but hey ho still a good point fck knows what that midfield three was about
Looks like my 3-2 prediction for pool vs psg was spot on
Liverpool have won...
Their midfield 3 made sense, Marquinhos slotted in at CB for most of the game as Liverpools front three are narrow, and Mbappe and Neymar were lazy facks, barely left Liverpool's half when the rest of the team were defending, had to have 3 CBs there to push the WBs up against Liverpool's FBs.
Probably still required some form of work ethic from the wingers though, Trent and Robinson still got plenty of crosses in
Didn’t realise they scored lol both need to move from PSG they find it too easy and can afford to be lazy fcks
Rabiot put a good shift in tonight in midfield Helped a lot in defence.
Mbappe not a winger he’s a second striker, so never going to track back, didn’t for France either
Neymar has always been a lazy feck doesn’t matter where he’s played. If they’re not going to track back they have to do something going forward and they didn’t, which is pi££ poor considering Liverpool’s FBs are much better attacking than they are defending.
91 touches for Trent and 71 for Robertson, 1st and 4th highest on the pitch. 2 tackles attempted between Neymar and Mbappe. That’s really quite terrible tbh
See I’d play Mbappe just off Lewandowski but i doubt a midfield two of Pjanic and Pogba would go down well lol
Plus I’d need a better winger to start
Helps to bolster my opinion that the full backs are the most important factor in Klopp's tactic working
Also why I'm more worried about my own full back situation than any other area of the pitch
The only way I can get round it is playing a diamond I guess but I like that as much as 3 at the back
Mbappe and Neymar might get away with not tracking back in the French league but it's a whole different ball game against quality opposition in Europe.
Think the sooner Mbappe starts playing more centrally the better he'll become as a player. A very good winger atm but his potential is monstrous as a striker.
Diamond can work well with the right players and tactics. Lyon, Sampdoria and Villarreal probably all over achieving using that system
napoli dropped points too
Neymar in a free role behind Mbappe and Lewandowski I guess would be ok
