Good result that against a much improved City side
PSG are going to have a ridiculous attack with Icardi now amongst their ranks! Interesting to see whether any other big deals go through today, Fernandes to Real Madrid potentially on the cards by the sounds of it
PSG you’d think are likely losing Neymar if that goes through though so not sure it helps. Already have Cavani for cf anyway. Strange one if it’s only a loan
Neymar staying by the sounds of it, at least until January/next summer anyway.
Cavani currently out injured and turns 33 in February so a loan with an option to buy makes sense. If Neymar does eventually move to Barca can see a few decent players moving the other way so could be a bit of revamp at PSG next summer.
Fair TAB, I’m out of the loop on a couple of those! Thought Barca would be desperate for Neymar with how they’ve started
Cavani only made 21 league appearances last season and is already out injured again so makes sense they'd reinforce in that area.
Not sure what happened with Neymar but looks as though he's staying for the short term at least. Think its only a matter of time before he moves back to Barca and you're right they could definitely do with him.
On another note you have to hand it to Simeone for how well Atletico have started after their reshape
Costa and Felix look to be forming a great partnership, Vitolo seems to have stepped up with some important goals off the bench and Kieran Trippier looks like a completely different player
Hadn’t realised that, sets PSG up well then. Will be surprised if they sell in Jan, they seem to have sold off most of their youngsters for ffp, if it works on a season by season basis they probably couldn’t sell either till next season?
Aye Atletico seem like same old despite the reshuffle. Think their setup will suit Trippier a lot better than Spurs did. With Real and Barca struggling is a great chance for them to get ahead in league race
yeah looks like I need a new striker at Chelsea
may go with Mbappe tho
Yeah you're right on FFP so will likely be a spending spree for them next summer if Neymar moves
5 points clear of Barca and 4 ahead of Real after only 3 games is a dream start for Atletico. Came back from two down yesterday and seem to be showing a resilience that the others are lacking at the moment.
Still surprised you sold Lewandowski Fan, he's banging them in for fun at the moment!
yeah in hindsight I shouldn't have but hey ho
any strikers for sale?
Leicester v Arsenal
A resolute Arsenal defended very well against the defending champions, they had chances themselves through Aubameyang and Lacazette, but first half remained 0-0
Jesus was getting frustrated and he had to wait for the introduction of Sane and Zaha to open up space for him, Sane drove passed Grimaldo to latch onto a through ball, he played it inside and Jesus was there to pounce on Hazards quick pass., Arsenal much improved and can count themselves unlucky today
Leicester 1 - 0 Arsenal
Jesus - (Hazard, 79)
MOTM - Ederson

Norwich v Southampton
This very young Norwich side will surprise a few teams this season, they took a very early lead through new striker Dolberg when he Wilson played a lovely ball in from the right, they then wen further ahead not long after when James cut inside and launched a terrific drive into the top left hand corner leaving Pickford no chance, Southampton eventually woke up and put a tremendous amount of pressure on the home side, but the clearly didn't have their shooting boots on, However they did in the second half, they began to dominate the young side and had a floury of shots, Moise kean got one back after Chilwell broke through the lines, Kean just had to tap it in, then a mistake from Godfrey allowed Haller to get the equaliser later on after Chilwell again drove down the left and hurt young Aarons at RB, a good opening game for both sides.
Norwich 2 - 2 Southampton
Dolberg(Wilson, 6), James(14)
Kean(Chilwell, 58) Haller(Chilwell, 81)
MOTM - Chilwell
Wolves v Newcastle
This Newcastle side will have enough to compete if they keep their front three fit, Mane and Robertson linked well early to give them the lead, although Mane should have passed to Salah as he was in space, but he managed to squeeze it under Kepa, a mistake by Romagnoli near the end of the second half allowed Firmino to double their lead as he pounced on thr Cb's mistake.
Wolves came into the game more as time and time again Mahrez and Lemar found themselves beyond the fullbacks, crosses were flying in but benzema could get on any of them, however when Cutrone came on he got them back in within 30 secs of coming on showing Benzema how to do it..Both teams went at it but no more goals
Wolves 1 - 2 Newcastle
Cutrone (Mahrez, 76)
Mane(Robertson, 12), Firmino(23)
MOTM - Firmino
Liverpool v Bournemouth
A lively start from Bournemouth saw them grab a lead before Ludys wife had even sat down in the dugout, de Ligt slow to react to Rakitic's pass, Gomez nipped in and slotted it under Pope, LC was pushing his team to grab a second as he knew they would come under fire eventually with the class of Liverpools frontline and unfortunately that came sooner than he wanted as Sancho and Sterling really started flying, they got the equaliser as Stering got down the left and whipped in for Kane, he fluffed his lines but Sancho was there to save the strikers blushes, much the same in the second half, Bournemouth struggling to cope with the widemen and some meaty challenges were going in, one too many tho as Sterling hit a peach of a freekick,, it did hit the bar, but the perfect poacher was on hand to put it in the back of the net
Liverpool 2 - 1 Bournemouth
Sancho( Sterling, 43), Kane(Sterling, 65)
Gomez (1)
MOTM Sterling
Set up well, good tactics obvs as they always are, Newcastle on paper the better team tho, wasn't a fan of their back 3 but not sure Benzema could hurt them that much
Not a fan because you dont think they’d work together?
Or the system you don’t like
I thought I needed Hummels in there to spray balls around
pretty slow back three Ludy, against a better/quicker striker/front 3, could be exposed
