Even if he does well you have the same problem of no striker next year when he is ready for retirement. Imo he does the same job as Wickham but wickham is about 60 years younger. You need a goalscorer im sure you can find one with enough expeirence for 4-8m very easilly.

You could get Jordan Rhodes for around 2.5M!
And if you want a big lad up front, you could have looked to Germany and gone for someone like Lasogga - or even that guy that was going rising for Newcastle

- he is signing a 2/3 year contract with a veiw to coaching
- We need premier league experiance as 4 strikers all under the age of 23
- we have no money left this season MON has already said because he wants to just use the leftovers from bruce and save money for the summer
- He is a model Pro and great to have round a club
- He is the back up big man where he can teach wickham to take over when he retires
- He is so cheap why not
There is loads of young talent out there for an extra million

You don't need PL experience for 6 months, which is all he might be useful for. your not in danger (realistically) of going down
FFS he is there for a long time to come not just 6 months... also just because a player isnt starting doesnt make them bad as does the age
