A brilliant game by Trossard today 3 world class assists from him and his interplay with Martinelli was unreal. You see this is why we didn't need Weghorse Renegade Trossard is the far superior player. I see Mudryk got his first assist for Chelsea yesterday aswell. Hopefully the first of many for the lad I'll support him forever even though he joined the second best team in London.

Nketiah is injured. So if Jesus wasn’t back fit or breaks down again, then you’re left with Trossard as your striker, when he’s a winger first and foremost.

Fine against Fulham, but missed chances a. Few weeks ago could still cost Arsenal.

Had thought Jesus was out longer, but can’t believe the strength of opinion that having an actual backup striker and squad depth is a bad thing

You maybe never said that, but my whole point was Arsenal should sign another striker as backup given Nketiah was only fit out and out striker.

Trossard is playing as a false 9. So not the same, obv he’s fit like a glove to the system and it’s probably helped likes of Martinelli. But for the games when the system doesn’t work, clearly another striker would’ve been a benefit.

Against Sporting Martinelli was up top, and he didn’t do too well. No strikers on bench, not sure if Trossard was too late to make Euro squad. Prime example of a game where a backup striker would help both the team, and in ensuring players aren’t ran into the ground before the league run in.
