I remember a similar feeling two years ago, got back from the Canary Islands to Gatwick Airport at 3am in early December, was absolutely not dressed for the change in weather

Chelsea have a strong game plan, well balanced side and the players to fit their pressing style (Mbappe aside), I think this could expose them at times though given how attacking they are if the press is beaten. Didn’t think Toon had enough pace themselves to make most of that. On other side, not a weakness but felt a more traditional winger/playmaker on right wing for Chelsea would benefit Mbappe & Haaland. Toon very strong side and instructions, thought overall gameplan could be clearer to get upper hand against the juggernaut of Chelsea.

Thought it would be a very even game and that Newcastle might have seen more possession.

Two very very strong defences and good defensive tactics from both but overall thought Chelsea’s attack would get slightly more chances up against Toon defence than other way round based on quality of attack and ability to get in behind. Thought Kalulu would struggle against Mbappe and Hickey would struggle against Messi.

I liked Markys subs to go for it, but Fan had quality coming on and kept energy and give more control so called them even.

Overall Chelsea had a slight edge going into slots, and came out winners.
