Jostling for position is normal
Bernardo was onside until Stones headed the ball but was well out of the way by then (did all of his "obstructing" while still onside because you can't be offside from a corner)
It's something they've clearly worked on in training to unsettle a goalkeeper and it worked a treat
As I say, I couldn’t really see the timing of Stones header vs Bernardo blocking Sa, so could be that he’s onside. The live replays at the time were poor
But Bernardo wasn’t jostling for a position to get the ball, he was actively blocking the keeper. Different to blocking someone running for the ball and holding your ground. He actively moves into the keeper to obstruct
In the real world that isn't a foul

I can see that view, and think goalkeepers are over protected, my point is he’s not just standing his ground, he’s deliberately obstructing the keeper with no intention of going for the ball. I think it gets given as a foul if it’s a bigger player like John Stones doing that rather than a we guy like Bernardo

"jostling for position is normal"
I agree so long as you exclude all the various methods of grabbing, shirt pulling, body checking and all types of "in your face" chest bumping that goes on when corner kicks are being taken. Ironically, Man City scored despite all of this garbage. Football management needs to a look at all of the things that go during corner kicks at every game, most of which might merit a YELLOW card!
btw: Nano seconds before the Stones header the Wolves goalie clearly pushed Bernardo in the back...poetic justice? He should have had his eyes on the ball.

So this is what I don’t get, Bernardo body checks Sa, it’s just he’s midget and so there’s less impact. He’s not jostling for a position, as he moves in towards the keeper then moves behind him. So it’s a deliberate body check to obstruct him for me
Would be soft if it goes against you, but if that was a Rangers player that did that I’d expect a free kick, and if not would expect opposition fans to be going mental

As I said; the FA needs to take a closer look at weekly games and all the obstructing and cheating that goes on during corner kicks, and then meet with the Refs. and give them stricter direction. Currently what goes on in the BOX on a corner resembles a rugby game! And, it seems to be getting worse week after week!
Anyone willing to take Arsenal for the time being?
morning
am off after today until next friday, so will need a hand with results and stuff
European SuperCup :- Leicester v Watford
Community Shield :- Leicester v Newcastle

If you're okay with that then that's cool - just wanted to buy a defender 😊 ta pal
