If he has learnt his lesson about buying average players with ridiculous wages yes any day of the week. He's a good manager Martin, but if he spends like he did at villa he wont do you any good in the long term after he leaves.

Obviously Eck isn't doing well now though.
Mccleish is restriced to what he can buy tbh
no offence but who really cares about the scottish league its just anouther team its about there overall carear
also spending isnt controlled about him now and we have a very rich owner anyway so it ok
The Old Firm isn't just another team, its the teams that O'Neil and Eck will probably be remembered most for whether they like it or not

Having millions to spend at villa is alot compared to what he had at celtic although he did a spend a lot there on lennon, sutton etc but still
but celtic were a top team before he went there
Aston Villa went from almost relegation and 16th and getting them to there first final for years and finishing 6th consistently aswell as qualifying for europe
although he won loads at celtic and althat they were always a big club and in a league where there is only two real team
I'm wasn't meaning that their greatest achievements were in Scotland, just that thats what they will be remembered for
again im not sure because i still can see him doing somthing special at sunderland or even anouther top team
I will personally remember MON for when he fell over the bottles!
