Happy with hodgson then? Been confirmed

I don't care that much tbh no one is going to get England to play that well for a good few years, Hodgeson does well with smaller teams though so never know could get a semi final!

Depends on players really ATM id be thinking

Hart
Richards Cahill Terry Cole
Parker Lampard
Sturridge Gerrard Young
Welbeck

Defence and keeper are good, the two CBs and cole have been amazing together, Richards is a great player.

Parker and Lampard should work, Lampards been playing deep for Chelsea a lot since RDM took over and been impressive.

Sturridge not sure about entirely but was good at the weekend seemed a lot less selfish and has 16 goals now in all competitions from the wing which is a great return, Gerrard more freedom should do well, young great delivery

Welbeck good work eithic and gets goals

Would be my pick atm anyway, Carrick/Barry just missing out, Milner not playing enough for me, Lennon hit and miss as is Walcott, Johnson great impact player

Wouldnt play lampard and gerrard well i hope you do cos it doesnt work lol
One of gerrard/lampard ahead of parker and barry

Afternoon you lot

So then Man City winning the league? Like I said, they still won't win it because they will drop points at Newcastle and Man United will win there last 2 games because that is all they ever do just get very lucky,

posted on 1/5/12

It never worked because they were played alongside each other with no decent DM, both were used to playing more attacking roles. I think with Parker there and Lampard now playing deeper it can work

Here's a good question, on the last 4 occasions a PL player has created over 100 chances a season who were the players?

Think man city will win it

I wouldn't say man Utd always get lucky they've won 19 titles need more than luck!

Well I must admit that they sometimes really have been world class and deserved it but occasionally when they win the league I look back and they have 5/10 results that are a little bit lucky or things to get results that are lucky i.e late goals and 'Fergie Time' as some call it.

But it proves how much De Jong is needed at Man City. Glad they started him on the bench. He knows how to make a tackle and really is a great player.

Nigel De Jong

Marko Marin on his move to Chelsea:

"I sat down with Di Matteo and we had a good conversation, he was a big reason as to why I joined and I hope he stays on as manager"

Interesting. Both that in such a short time he already has a player on his side but also that he was involved in the nagotiations. That to me says he's got a big chance of staying as manager and even of not as manager as assistant

personally feel sturridge is overrated and would play walcott ahead of him

BREAKING NEWS

After much consideration the English FA have appointed Woy Hodgson as the new England Manager. There were some awkward questions though

Jet: ehhh wie you no pick mltd

Bernstein: Excuse me can you repeat the question

Jet: i swead y u no pick list man

Bernstein: who is this list man

Jet: wivwerpwool manwanger

Bernstein: Oh you mean LSTD

Jet: ehh wes thwats what ive bween twying to twell you

Bernstein: If we were to choose him as manager we'd have to be in a pretty desperate position. There are 1000s of managers above him

Jet: why you no pick him thwen

Bernstein: Ive already answered that

Jet: do i get a woowypop for asking you things

Bernstein: ermm get him out of here now please

De Jong is a decent player but a thug. Wouldn't make any difference to City if he left, easy to replace in my opinion.

Think if DM wins one of the cups he's in he'll get the job. Not sure getting top 4 would be too important for him getting the job as if you don't, having a new manager wont change the fact you've got no Champions League.

Sturridge is a very good player he's just too selfish if he doesn't try and do everything himself he's easily better than Walcott. Think he's got more goals and assists in less games than him this year?

posted on 1/5/12

think you're underrating walcott a bit

he is definitely not easily better than walcott even he isnt selfish

posted on 1/5/12

RVP said Walcott has 12 assists for him alone. Agree with Wilshere you're underrating Walcott or over rating Sturridge.

posted on 1/5/12

Maybe under rating Walcott but I'd rather have Sturridge he's got more to his game IMO when he actually decides to pass he's a brilliant player got everything pace good in the air times his runs skill full good finisher great long shots. It's only his ego that's holding him back atm

Personally prefer Sturridge.

Afternoon gents.

posted on 1/5/12

Sturridge 37 games, 13 goals, 7 assists
Walcott 45 games, 11 goals, 13 assists

Walcott more minutes so I'd say Sturridge is more effective not by much but like I say if Sturridge was more of a team player he'd have loads of assists

posted on 1/5/12

not saying walcott is better but i personally feel he'd be better for england in that position

posted on 1/5/12

If he was at the top of his game, Lennon for me. But he's not so would start Sturridge

Hart
Richards Terry Cahill Cole
Carrick Lampard
Sturridge Rooney Young
Welbeck

is what I'd like to see at the Euros, with Wilshere coming in when fit but I imagine one if not all of Gerrard/Parker/Barry will start
