Sandro I am a big fan!
Thing is though you don't need 4 or 5 top forwards. Can only really have one or two on the pitch! Rooney more than good enough to be that man.
Yes but first two games..can they count on wellbeck or whoever else goes? I dont think so tbf
Heskey should be going lol
Tranquil Chaos, But it's the past that your talking about. Holt in the past was a Non-League footballer and now he is on the margin of getting 20 goals in the PL for Norwich. He has done better than them both so he deserves to start there really.
I'd personally say Rooney and Wellbeck up top is a great option.
Play together for United and seem to have struck up a great partnership.
If its good enough for United, should be good enough for England.
But rooney isnt playing two games
dont get me wrong, id have him ont he plane, but the simple fact is that he would give away too many fouls, and that is going to be the limiting factor
Ye I know but I was imagining they'll get through, though I don't know who they even play in those two games
I've always thought Crouch should play for England, has a great scoring record. He's like Podolski for Germany
The FA rang up Roy Hodgson & told him you do understand there'll be no Wayne for the first two games at the Euros, Roy replied "I'am not really that bothered about the weather"
France and sweden back for ukraine game but will be too late by then lol
Tranquil Chaos, yeah he would but think of the positive things he has to his game i.e he can bring the ball down and supply passes, he can flick the ball on to the 2nd striker, he is lethal in the air so would be difficult to mark from set-pieces and corners etc.
frankly for an internation class player, the bare minimum a target man should be able to do is bring the ball down and pass it on, or flick it on, jesus, even andy carroll can do those things well, and unfortunately theres not much point him being lethal in the air if refs are gonna give fouls for every time he touches an opposition player
and it depends which winger we would play, as the most likely options arent all that well known for their crossing and would rather take the ball into the box themselves, so wouldnt be playing to holts strengths

Would play milner one one wing at least he can cross
Barry-Parker
Struridge-Gerrard-Milner
Wellbeck
Or
Lampard for gerrard
think id have lampard over one of the DMs atm and johnson, young anyone over sturridge atm
Oh aye forgot about young lol
Young and Milner or the wings
i think the problem with milner is that he would be needed more in the middle, one problem we have had for a while is that we lack a bit of pace in the middle, and having parker and milner as the midfield 2 provides a bit of everything, if we are playing a big man up top, then i think downing has to be one of the options, as he does put a few good crosses in, the only problem is when he does it for us, he doesnt look up and see that theres noone in the box before he crosses
Downing lol you have problems if he is on the plane

honestly, i wouldnt take him, worst transfer we have made since diouf, but given hodgsons style of play, if he has zamora up top, he is going to want someone that would put crosses in for him to feed on, and the likes of young, walcott and johnson all prefer to take it on themselves, so whilst i would probably cry if he does get a place in englands XI, i wouldnt be entirely surprised
think hes lent torres his boots for the rest of the season
Can't agree with what you're saying Tranquil, don't really think theres a need for pace in the middle and don't think Holt is going to give away a free kick every time he touches someone.
