Quaresma isn't that bad! He plays for Portugal and is worth around 15M according to some.

Marchena is probably past his best yes but then again he has vast amounts of experience, better than Vlaar as a back-up and has played for country and still is a quality defender.

Ziegler, well he is better than Koybasi for a start so there is an improvement, again, has vast amounts of experience for club and country and is a quality LB.

because hes the best option there really, we need someone to help bosingwa down the right so kalou has to start there with ramires out which leaves bertrand, malouda, sturridge, torres for left mid, malouda has failed a fitness test apparently, sturridge is greedy and lazy and torres doesnt really help back on a regular basis so bertrand there, great corsser and got a good right foot to cut in too plus offers that defensive cover for cole. think its the right move personally

But, with Bertrand who is very young and there are other options like Sturridge who yes, have been rotation sometimes, but have more experience in playing it is a risk. Is it a risk worth taking? Well, we will find out tonight.

Drogba: weakened defence could have a field day
Mata: No DM for bayern can run the show
Bosingwa: If he does his job the rest of the defence are reliable

Ribery/Robben: Have to be on top of their game to supply gomez
Schwein: going to be most defensive midfielder probably, so has to do a good job on mata
Neuer: has to be at his best, chelsea should get plenty of chances with the defence in front of him

All the players for Bayern are Key Players and all need to be stopped. No point stopping 8 of there players and letting Gomez, Muller and Robben go free is there.

well sturridge is only a year younger and hasnt even played as much as bertrand he has like 200 first team games in his career i know most is in the championship but if you want to be good enough you have to be ready for these games and im sure he will be. Sturridge would be the last person i want to see starting, would rather just play turnbull there lol

plus on bertrand is pace is incredible, not too far off ramires pace wise which was key vs barca

But it is Barcelona. This is Bayern. Totally different game, totally different reaction and totally different atmosphere so just get used to it and you MIGHT have a chance. But with both teams defences looking unstable I can see 7 goals in this one.

Just a better attack force and I don't think for 90 minutes on home soil that your back 4 with 2 of them with injuries they still might carry/just got rid of, I don't think you will be able to handle Gomez, Ribery, Robben and Muller.

But then again, with Bayern being on home soil the pressure is on them. If they lose, then the back page of the papers are written and ready to be published.

so definitely dont think it will be a 3 goal win, got to remember this is the last chance for the likes of cole, drogba, lampard, kalou they will be well up for this, on their day they can beat anyone,
