I think somthing like that is what we will be playing with at the start of the year.... we need a LB and we have only been linked with fucile so i threw him in

I think we need a LB,RB,AM,RW,LW and 2 x ST

thats right cos you know everything about everyone lol

Makoun may possibly leave, Irleand came onto a bit of form at the end of season and McCleish hardly played N'Zogbia cos he was too attacking for him

Lowton - The jump isnt that big, look how Norwich performed with mostly the same squad..

Vlaar is good and adapting at CB is easier than mid or up front..

Clark is a good player, just need to stake his place in the squad at CB,LB or DM

Holman and Ahmadi apparently looked very good pre season, especially Ahmadi

15 teams your having a laugh

i whould have villa 10-13 this season

Torres rubbish No.9 and is still 'adapting'

cos for all you rave about him a No.9 at Chelsea should be scoring a lot more than he has done, as a striker he has been p poor for Chelsea and I dont care if he can run about doing what he does, he gets paid for scoring goals which he doesnt

Not saying I know everything about everyone and like I said it depends how players adapt, but that does not look like a strong starting 11 to me, especially when you throw in injuries and suspensions.

Would feel more confident being Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Tottenham, Newcastle, Liverpool, Everton, Sunderland, Stoke, Swansea, Norwich, West Brom, Fulham so yeah 15

Well looking at Wigans ' Sunderland team doubt that will happen
Fulham lose Dempsey, they will struggle
The rest below them I dont think so

Sunderland .... wait what us and west brom ahead of that villa team

posted on 1/8/12

Dont think that will happen Wigan

Plus I never said it was a brilliant team, just better than last season

Don't agree about Norwich, think they'll probably be relegated. Would also say Swansea might struggle without Rodgers, be interesting to see how Laudrup does.

But otherwise, I agree really.

Hold on when did I say Torres was adapting, I said he didnt suit Chelseas style of play, which is 100% fact, how many strikers could you have out at CF for Chelsea and expect them to keep hold of the ball from long balls and have no support at all for the majority of the game, I'd say two. Drogba and Ibrahimovic.

We don't suit Torres at all, look at him for Spain when they give him his style of service, golden boot at the euros. If he doesn't do well this season then fine but last year he struggled because of Chelsea just as much as he struggled because of himself that was very very obvious for anyone who watched Chelsea, Torres was playing well particularly end of season but not getting service he had to drop way too deep hence he got loads of assists

And you can say what you like about Nzogbia and Ireland not fitting Villas style but they generally did eff all, Torres still managed about 20 assists and 13 goals

posted on 1/8/12

we dont know yet we are still rumored to be signing Doumbia, Llorente,Fletcher and Heskey

posted on 1/8/12

I said Irleand came into a bit of form end of season after his mishaps off field

N'Zogbia hardly played

so yes they did eff all last season..

A striker costing £50m should be able to adapt at any club

11 goals in 49 games

Brilliant

The fee has nothing to do with him adpapting though does it, everyone knows it was way too high. Judge him on actual performances and you can see he was playing well. To adapt to Chelseas tactics last season he need to grow taller and put on a lot more muscle, not exactly an easy adaptation is it?

posted on 1/8/12

he is 6 foot and hardly skinny fella

You really don't have a clue about how Chelsea played last season lol

Torres got the same amount of goals as Drogba, Chelsea play to have the striker holding the ball up around 4-5 players and supplying the likes of Kalou, Ramires, Mata and Lampard around the area.

Pay 300m for Messi and play that way with him at CF and see how well he does, it's impossible unless you have the build of Drogba, look at the other strikers we've had since this style of play, some excellent strikers, but they just can't possibly adapt to that style of play, the only one who did was Anelka and he ended up as a midfielder

posted on 1/8/12

you know what I really dont care about Chelsea

if Torres doesnt score 20+ goals next season he has no excuse

posted on 1/8/12

Hes hardly drogba build though is he, maybe go and find some highlights of Chelsea last season, then tell me that was easy for Torres to play in.

Like ive said, just played in a team that play his style of football, golden boot at the euros, let's see what he can do in a good attacking Chelsea side
