Essien has played an entire season at CB at Chelsea before lol he's very good there
Romeu has played there for Barca B and Spain under 20's not a high level but for like 8th choice it's fine lol
Kalas has shown plenty of potential again for a 5th/6th choice don't see the problem. Martinez is a good player don't get why you have problems playing him lol
Nesta just come off the back of a great season he's still more than good enough, Henry came back to the PL and got Arsenal pushing forward so feel your point about the MLS is invalid, plenty of good players there now.

look my point is you need better back up in defence which I think you understand to get that you will have to lose some players which could be first teamers or you may have to weaken other position. to avoid all that I think it would be easier to get loans, ie David luiz again

He played RB for half a season, CB he played one season just about all the time, he plays virtually everywhere lol

And I know what you mean but I have said I have targets that's not going to be my defensive options when the season starts, just don't want loans, have targets I can probably get for cash in foreigns which should make that area stronger
