AVB promised Lukaku that hed be playing regularly when he joined so said that he could make his debut vs norwich as there would be no need for him to go out on loan. Then having played that game he couldnt go out on loan, AVB put him in the reserves telling him he was too young to be playing regularly and wouldnt talk to him about how he could improve

tbf to him, he was right lukaku wasnt old enough for it, but not just that he wasnt good enough, he had a lot to work on and tbf he does look ten times better already with his touch ect, thought against Liverpool he looked like someone who could definitely lead our front line in the future and hes still only 19

but AVB saying things to him then going against his word and refusing to talk to him just shows poor man management imo, he could have handled it much better

i disagree, obviously im going to but ive seen a lot of niang and i dont think hes all that impressive, made a very good start for caen but faded quickly. Youd have thought Arsenal would have made an offer to sign him, or City after they had him on trial if they believed he was that good. Think Lukaku has a lot more in his locker so to speak

Lukaku was doing well in a good team, Niang was playing in a pretty awful team...

Maybe he didnt see any opportunities at those teams, look at Lukaku himself, just a game or two then out on loan..

think he'll be a good player just feel that he was overhyped too early in his career he needs to be given time

unless moyes has got another player about to be sold, he only has about 5m left for transfers, possibly a little more if kenwright gives him funds from the arteta sale last year buts its very unlikely

and theyre not going to spend masses on a young player that will struggle to get chances for a few years
