Luka no one is bragging about getting into the CL, have you not realised its actually the fact that we won it!??
we had one bad season in the league so what! Look at the funding Madrid have had for years, they never got out of the last 16 of the CL for 5-6 seasons so what!
Why should i be ashamed of spurs finishing above chelsea last season? We were truly awful in the league, thanks to your current manager might i add, everyone was saying spurs could challenge for the league around decemeber and that wed miss out on europe so why should i be ashamed, we proved everyone wrong!
LS i have plenty of negative things to say about Chelsea but not about the CL win, so what we had some luck, weve had plenty go against us in the CL previously, and anyone denying that we were poor in it is just stupid, managing to defend with a man sent off that well against the best team in the world and still score twice, how many teams would have managed that?
And yes i think some of our players would have won individual awards, Cech would certainly have got the keeper award, dont see why Cole couldnt have got the defender, and Drogba carried us through in attack.
JET would be absolutley gutted if we let Essien go but youd be getting a fine player, looked a class above in pre season
Aye but they weren't going to win the league after AVB's start. So were obviously right to concentrate on the biggest competition in club football.
Think Remy would be a really good signing for Arsenal.

I wasnt taking the mickey out of spurs at all, LS comments just came across as being a little bit bitter to me.
To say we only got lucky to win the CL is just complete and utter nonsense it really is. Was winning 4-1 against Napoli lucky or were we just much better than them? Beating benfica wasnt lucky again we were better? Beating barca okay they missed a penalty and a few other chances but we were very good defensively and going forward we caused plenty of problems, you dont score 3 against Barca without being good, you dont defend against them with 10 men and a completley messed up defense without doing well, ramires goal pure skill, in the final Gomez missed some great chances but was it luck that Drogba's header went in or was it his skill, were we lucky they missed pens or had Cech done his homework to perfection to go the right way 6 times and save 3? Was it luck that 4 out of our 5 penalty takers scored infront of the opposition fans?
We finished 6th because we started playing second string in the league, look at the teams against Arsenal, Liverpool, Blackburn they were completley different to those in the FA Cup and CL, at that time we had 2 games a week, RDM's decision to go for the CL over top 4 was clearly justified.
We deserve a lot more credit than some people give us tbh
it obvs wasnt just luck but like u say u had luck and alot of it - u didnt played weakened teams in alot of prem matches pretty sure spurs would have finished above u either way
we played weakened teams in virtually every game once we got to the two semi finals, last 6 or so games were pretty much second strings
think vs arsenal we had

Sturridge Miereles Malouda
Torres
compared to the usual

Ivanovic Luiz Terry Cole

I don't think any of your players would have one an individual award wasn't bitter I was being serious, you can't defend for 180 mins + then tell me your striker carried you through games.. You got lucky if messi scored that pen it would have been completely different.
You can't blame it all on AVB your players didn't want to play for him they decided that even before he started training.. So you saying it was alll AVBs fault is wrong if I was terry and lampard I'd be ashamed..
Drogba would have won best forward hands down.
Cech best keeper as well hands down.

i think i do.... but its boring you talk about arsenal too much
I just think most chelsea fans especially on this forum think their team are perfect and seem to deny their success down to there massive spending, I have no respect for chelsea or city, have more respect for arsenal.. End of....

LS you clearly dont look at the chelsea board often, we think our team is far from perfect and know we have abromovic to thank. It takes a lot more than money though, look at Man City theyve spent loads it took them 4-5 years to win the PL. Money does not buy everything and we're sick of opposition fans thinking it does.
