People (Especially on the Liverpool Board ) Still think the Bundesliga is a 'poor' League and claim Serie A etc host more quality...

the isle of scilly's football league is the best in the world

for me the PL is the best for entertainment, but quality of football, particularly of the players from the country, i think germay and spain are ahead. The way the spanish teams play pass and move pass and move is phenominal at times, especially with the right players and you can see although some teams arent exactly brilliant, they still have some quality players. Betis and Vallecano for example. The quality of football in Germany is also excellent, think theyve used the 4-2-3-1 formation to perfection there now, they counter at pace but can keep control of possession and win the ball back so quickly. At the same time though PL teams are improving in their quality, for example the way swansea play is excellent, city, united, chelsea, arsenal all trying to use a better style of football and id say spurs also imo could be linked quite closely to bundesliga teams. Its just that some teams have a different way of success in the PL like Everton, WBA, and stoke to them extreme, Chelsea also in the way they won the CL, youd never get a german or spanish team play like that. I think in quality all 3 leagues are fairly even, its great to see the way the tactics develop.

Wouldnt say serie a is bad tbh, its declined but their is still plenty of quality over there imo, but perhaps other than Juventus its more developing quality, ie roma, napoli ect and the two milans are declining massively which is whats showing the league up for me.

Ligue 1 can over take it at this rate, if psg get a new manager and use their players how they should they can really push in europe and i think marseille and lyon have that potential too, all 3 have some excellent players, as do lille.

and the portuguese and dutch league just remain development leagues imo, with portugal for the south americans usually and holland seems a bit more african and european based youngsters, both leagues have some good teams though. Porto, Benfica, Ajax in particular, and i think Vitesse if they can hold onto players for a good length of time can become a strong team

i licked on the wrong page and saw that LSTD the seria A is improving and Juve,Napoli and Florentina and the three stong teams.... Milan ides are rebuilding and lazio are strong.... Ligue 1 is going to go down hill massivly i na year with the new super tax even the pundits are saying that

Wilshere, the date doesn't matter, it's an editorial, people have been talking about the German setup for years now.

That's a rubbish article actually, a couple years behind and saying Germany got to the final of the World Cup based on luck Stopped reading there.

without psg, id say the quality of the russian league is at least on a par with the french league, and will soon be ahead of them outright

posted on 4/12/12

i dont think fiorentina are that good tbh, team of individuals really.

Juventus miles ahead, then theres Lazio, Napoli, Roma, Udinese but all of those are far too inconsistent, inter look stronger this season but milan are very weak.

very much doubt ligue 1 will go down in quality, its only going to get higher. No tax is going to effect football clubs they always find ways around it as proven in the past

posted on 4/12/12

hmm player quality wise the russian league is good. Just think the standard of french league will be better, in russia its too much about buying the expensive flashy players than about building a well balanced team imo

Dutch league is good

posted on 4/12/12

Think the French league is definitley better than the Russian league. But could see the Russian league being better in the future.

the dutch league is good, defeinitely improving, watched vitesse and ajax a lot and think they both play some great football now. Some class players at both clubs, problem for them is that after a few years they all want to move to the bigger leagues, so its hard to see the teams improving enough

is that why the footbal lclus are lobbying the goverment to stop it lstd

and Udi are terrible this year.... and nopoli are playing well as are lazio....

posted on 4/12/12

they want it stopped because theyre greedy not because it will have disastrous effects wigan

and a tax expert was on the radio speaking about how the thing targets people earning over 1m (and in footballers contract is aways wage after tax)
and only one team can survive with that money... psg

Lstd, I was talking about the most improved, but anyway

Possession wise, BBVA is the best, Attacking-wise, Bundesliga is the best, Entertainment and excitement wise PL offers the most, as well as the gap between PL teams being much closer than the gap of the Bundesliga teams, and especially the Spanish teams.

Serie A isn't bad, but compared to the o5/06's it has gone down hugely. However, it looks like there has been signs of improvement, as Inter have many top youngsters coming through, Milan playing more as a unit in the last couple of weeks, Roma and Lazio improving results, Napoli going very strong, Juventus of course, one of the best team in the world, as well as players getting real attention (El Shaarawy, Lamela, Coutinho, Insigne, Jovetic etc)

Portuguese League is a very good stepping stone for youngsters, and teams like Benfica/Porto/Sporting have some of the best scouts in the world, especially from SA, and they all have brilliant academies (Especially Sporting and Benfica). However, they never seem to keep hold of their players for long, despite rinsing the other club dry with their asking prices.

Eredivisie is a quality league, hugely underrated IMO, Ajax have bags of potential, some of the best young talent have been produced there, and we all know how good their academy is. PSV have top players as well, many oif their players being linked to big clubs, as well as having a very good academy of their own too. AZ Have many quality younger players that always seem to make it elsewhere, and they have Maher and Henriksen who will both become very big. Feyenoord are much improved, their defence looks very good, and everyone is aware of how well Vitesse are doing this season.

Never been a huge fan of Ligue 1, Marseille, after starting off well, have gone back to their awful last season form, and are not a piece on what they were 3/4 years ago. Likewise Lyon, although they are still quite steady atm. PSG have spent lot's of money, but are still struggling to beat teams easily, and are relying on Ibrahimovic all season. Last years winners have looked dreadful as well.

i bet lyon and marseille manage it. its been done before it didnt do anything apart from widen the gap between rich and poor clubs

"Germany got to the final of the World Cup based on luck "

Cringe.

Not sure how the likes of Lyon, Marseille and PSG struggling is a bad thing.

If anything shows that Ligue 1 is a strong league.

Number 21, You wonder why arguments are started? Everyone has their own opinion and you said last night that I wasn't entitled to my own opinion. You say I'm deluded?

Russian League > Ligue 1, although it doesn't have half the attention of the French League.

There's what 3/4 Russian sides in Europe, and about 6 French teams in Europe.

Ligue 1 easily better than Russian league.

"Everyone has their own opinion and you said last night that I wasn't entitled to my own opinion."

I said you don't HAVE an opinion in the first place, you just ass-lick Lstd, and hold his opinions in a higher regard to your own

Of course I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand what I meant.

Hey Ludy,
