he doesnt do enough work in a game, thats a simple fact, ask any liverpool fan out there and they would tell you that gerrard needs 2 midfield workhorses to let him play his own game

Saying he doesn't work hard enough is just nonsense. One example this season springs to mind, his MOTM performance against Utd at the start of season where Shelvey I think was sent off.

Was clearly one of the best cms at Euro 2012. Just have to look at stats for this season, never mind the other obvious qualities he brings.

its not nonsense, when he gets caught out, he doesnt have that yard of pace to help recover the ball, and needs midfield runners around him to try and pressurise and win back the ball

and at the time we were right, allen was playing at the time an unfamiliar position, and gerrard wasnt any help despite being the senior player, now he has two midfield runners around him with someone used to shielding the back 4 alongside him, hes showing his ability, but its only in a specific style, if we brought shelvey or suso and put them in hendos position, he wouldnt be working aswell, which is the point i was making earlier

if Yann M'vila was as good as everyone made him out to be (robin or kanga forgot which) then he would have signed for a bigger club than Rubin Kazan
