it depends. If you're winning and its very tight then it can be risk worthy but it does have its benefits because the player on the pitch could be struggling. the bench player comes on and tightens up defence. may not be as effective as further up the pitch but it does have an effect

during the xmas period i suggest we get the european squads prepared for the european tournaments as they should begin as soon as we get back from the break

Agreed Wilsh, I'll make sure I get those squads all sorted out as soon as possible and then groups can be drawn, fixtures and dates listed and then people have a proper chance to prepar themselves.

If someone wants to do winter friendlies or anything along those lines they can sort that out

Disagree myself Wilshere, in all my time playing and watching football I've never seen a manager make a straight swap in defence unless it's forced or someone having an absolute shocker. Difficult for a defender to come on and get into the run of play, also negative effect to change a back four which will have setup in a certain way for the majority of the game.

I think Messi is the best player in the world but do think Ronaldo deserves it this year.

Disagree. Can't think of a time I've seen it. Fb's for more attacking/defensive option change, yes. But don't know how you can say changing half of your back 4 would make it stronger when you're 65 mins or whatever into a game. Not a position where you can afford to let a player take 5 mins to get up to the speed of the game.

maybe if i was replacing hummels with kirchhoff but when im replacing a youth player with my hummels then i think its easier to accommodate. ive seen it before with vermaelen going off and koscielny coming on.
