As a Barça fan, we've seen this from Pep before. People say he needs a striker, but I remember him buying Ibra for a lot of money and instead playing Cesc as a false 9. He likes movement not focal points.
I think Pep is a great coach who plays a beautiful and effective style of football - if he has the right players. But tactically, he is not the best. His teams always have problems against teams of equal or slightly lower stature but who are tactically astute because he has very little variety of play. After ten minutes on Saturday, we all knew Chelsea would win. They just patiently waited for Pep to fall into their trap and with the quality that they possess - and they have a lot - they sprung their trap. I think City were lucky to lose by just one goal.
So Jesus is the typical player that Pep likes - he can play central, wide, drop back but he does not provide a focal point in the attack. I think Kane would do well at City but I'm not sure he's Pep's style of player although I think he can learn. I'm also not convinced by Haaland but he is young enough to adapt his game and Pep could finish him and make him brilliant.
Without breaking the bank?
Isn't that what City do? Year in, year out you use the money available to you to buy your way to silverware.
Of course you are going to break the bank you have no other way of winning things.

They pay a lot less than Liverpool and United for their players. Dont think City ever broke a record fee. And they havent spent crazy amounts in the past few windows.
I think this season was Jesus’ audition. And he hasn’t hit the mark.
He’s not a clinical finisher.
Jesus getting crucified here
Jesus, Torres, Delap and Palmer
The first 2 have scored hat tricks for the club, the other 2 scored 70+ goals for the u23s last season and have been promoted to the 1st team squad.
Rather than spend £100m on Kane we need to give them a chance
I’d love to see Delap given a chance. I think because of Saturday though we will invest.
Go for Mbappe then
Worth it just for the meltdown on here.

Is he any better than Jesus? I would be honestly happy if we dont sign a marquee signing though. As long as the forwards stay fit.
Give Jesus another chance?
Good grief. He's had two thousand years already.

Let him rise to the occasion
Jesus is not an out and out striker but few if any ,work harder for the team. Always unfavourably compared to Sergio but his scoring record isn't actually that bad if you take Sergio out of the equation. Much the same as Edin ,sometimes you never know what you've got till it's gone.
Jesus certainly tried to run the Chelsea defence when he came on and gave them something to think about
just spend another 500m n u will b ok
