Don, give it up mate. I think you have made your point on countless articles. You are begging to sound a bit silly now.
I like you a lot, but your relentless attack on Daniel Levy and ENIC are wearing very thin now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ll make my point until I’m blue in the face Sandy. You did the same with Pochettino. I hope the fans chant Levy and ENIC out every home game. Joke of a club and joke of a chairman.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve seen you say comments like this multiple times now, including ‘hoping the atmosphere is toxic’ next season. And I just don’t get. I understand being angry, disappointed etc. But you’re hoping for things to be awful. Why not at least hope to be proved wrong and it turns out to be a hugely successful season with enjoyable football?
It’s just such a negative mindset.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You will see some very enjoyable football next season...especially if you like seeing Spurs lose.
What other mindset would you suggest as plausible or objective for a Spurs fan?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
because it's talking about 'hope'. You might expect terrible football, you might expect it to be a total failure. But surely you still hope for the best?
Otherwise stop supporting the club, if you're hoping for the worst then you're not needed.

I'm feeling charitable so I'll have one last attempt:
Don has explicitly stated that he 'hopes' for it to be toxic next season. Nothing to do with expectations, it is what he 'wants' to happen.
I have challenged that mindset, why would you hope for things to go as badly as possible, even if it's what you expect?
I'm not at all happy about this potential appointment, I think it's a massive failure on the clubs part. But I hope I'm wrong, I don't want the club to fail. I don't hope for things to go as badly as possible.

First of all...you cannot even read.
Here's what Don said.....
"Only Spurs can go from potentially appointing a league title winner and a world class manager in Conte, reject his advances because he’s far too ambitious for us, fumble around for 2.5 months, then decide on a Levy gimp
6th choice Roma reject and appoint the mask of f** Zorro!!!! I despair with this club I really do. Anyone actually content and supporting this mess, you are part of the problem. Rinse and repeat, round we go the bend with Levy once again getting away with it. #levyout #enicout"
Where in that did Don say that he "hopes" for it to be a toxic season?
Frankly I'm done with you...you're just a damned fool.
If he signs I'd feel let down. Out of all the managers that were available this is one of the most unacceptable picks out there. Fans have got a right to be narked. I can't draw any positives from it. Not a single thing that this partnership can bring that I can hang my hat onto to say this team has got potential to compete next season.
You try to be optimistic, of course you do, but anybody looking at Spurs and this appointment should tell them exactly what we're about at the moment. The players will feel the same and act accordingly, let's face it, half the players don't give a fk about Spurs. You look at players like Dele Ali that saunter about every week, players need a new different type of manager with new ideas. There is absolutely nothing that this new manager can bring to change their mind set IMO, it looks like life has had it's way with him already. We're going to be treading the waters for a couple of years at best, all the while paying some of the most extortionate prices in the land. You wouldn't half mind if you felt your money was being invested well, instead you always come away feeling like you've had your fingers burnt.
I would absolutely love it, that if in a years time someone would trawl through all the negativity and prove that the majority of fans were wrong. I just can't see it.

Levy is to blame for a hell of a lot lately, we have done this to death now.
But he has made an indication now of handing over more footballing decisions to another more footballing brain to this new sporting director who a lot of people have said good things about.
this manager was touted by him not Levy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Levy should of appointed Conte phenom. Great manager was available and his lack of ambition failed once again
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you know Levy did not throw the kitchen sink at Conte, but he still refused to join? You cannot force a manager to join your club Don.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is perfectly obvious to even the most simple of simpletons, why the Conte deal fell apart. Levy`s lack of ambition and unrealistic expectations. It is why every top manager has told Levy where to go and we are left with the gamble of a journeyman coach.

This is the best post that will be written all day
Perfect
Antonio Conte to Gazzetta dello Sport: "Money is not my obsession. I look at projects and I'm ready to stay at home if they don't convince me. I like difficult challenges but if there is something with a club that does not convince me, I prefer to say: no, thank you". ⚪️ #THFC
Fairplay to Conte. He knows what Levy is like and thought nah I'd rather stay away.

Conte's a winner. He's got a team of people he trusts to do the job, Levy was too limp wristed to accept.
I thought that Zorro thing was photoshopped or a lookalike
Those words from Conte are so damning.
Would have been a great appointment if we had owners with any ambition.
I'm not sure what Levy's plan is now. Guessing to become like Arsenal? Accept no CL, but have a cheap manager try and keep the budget low and hope there are 60k mugs every week still willing to pay top dollar.
After ydays 2 hour spell of journos reporting the Fonseca story, news has gone quiet again. At this stage I really hope things pan out as they did with Conte.
Didn't Conte turn us down? It was nothing to do with money, he just didn't fancy it.

Great point…………all everyone is doing is speculating about what has gone on behind the scenes and the truth of the matter is we don’t know.
One of my fellow directors at my golf club currently works for Arsenal and he says that even they do not know from day to day what decisions are made until they actually happen. Apparently they spoke to a number of managers before settling for Arteta,🤔
With regard to a new manager, who knows, Fonseca if appointed might turn out to be excellent or he might be pretty average, and that is the point………..none of us know!
As for those of you slagging off Lewis and Levy, remember we were on our knees financially when they took over. They turned us in to a club run responsibly and financially secure. Weave the best stadium in the U.K. and one of the best training facilities in the World
They are not the ones who bottled several semi finals or lost us the PL title a few years ago. Neither were they the ones who failed to turn up in Madrid in 2019.
So I think a sense of proportion is needed from everyone.
Am I enthused by the possibility of Fonseca being appointed, not greatly no. But then again I am far from convinced that Conte would have necessarily been the answer.😳
I was not a big fan of Mourhino, but once he was appointed I accepted it and was willing to see how it went with him and true to form he was not what we wanted.
If Fonseca is appointed, then as a Spurs fan since October 1958 I will continue to support THE CLUB.
That is what a true supporter does, yes we can vent and rage about things but in the end they make little difference in what is now a major corporate Premier league.

Every day now a little bit love I had with football seems to die. The clubs and players are so out of touch with most of us. They haven't got the fans interests at heart. Super league etc. I'm not exactly looking forward to going to games next season and I love the Sport. It's losing it's magic. Yes ENIC has built us up, there an investment company that are looking to get as much money out of it as possible. The fans just go along for the ride. The appointment of Fonseca will be so telling. It will prove the club are not prepared to put their hands in their own pocket when it really matters.
Don wetting his bed again about more speculation, already judging that Fonseca would be a flop.
No doubt we'll hear the "if he's appointed i'll be right behind him" line but we all know that underneath that he's wearing an "I told you so T-shirt" which he can't wait to shove down Levy's throat.

Otherwise stop supporting the club, if you're hoping for the worst then you're not needed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Go to the OED and learn the difference between "hope" and "expectation".
Any realistic fan, who is not a hopeless idiot, is expecting the worst next season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you need me to draw you a picture or something? I don't know how to make it clearer to you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You just dont speak English...so of course you cannot" make things clearer".
Get a damned education.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm feeling charitable so I'll have one last attempt:
Don has explicitly stated that he 'hopes' for it to be toxic next season. Nothing to do with expectations, it is what he 'wants' to happen.
I have challenged that mindset, why would you hope for things to go as badly as possible, even if it's what you expect?
I'm not at all happy about this potential appointment, I think it's a massive failure on the clubs part. But I hope I'm wrong, I don't want the club to fail. I don't hope for things to go as badly as possible.
Do you see the difference?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
First of all...you cannot even read.

I'm not pumping anymore money into this club until Enic are gone.
I'm fed up with the constant haggling with players and managers and Levy sitting there with that chit eating smirk on his face.

Me too.

Me three.
Will support them and give the new manager my backing but Levy can fack off if he thinks he is getting a dime out of me.
ENIC/Levy out.

I'm no Levy fan but I don't hate him either. None of us actually know what's going on behind the scenes so everything is just ridiculous speculation really. No point getting wound up over sky sports rumours!

Conte's a winner. He's got a team of people he trusts to do the job, Levy was too limp wristed to accept.
