I think McGregors form is worrying enough to drop him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think McGregor has been terrific for the previous few seasons. I really like him as a player.
But right now he is a shadow of the player he has been.
I'm a massive fan, our most consistent player under Rodgers and for the past 4/5 seasons but he's certainly starting to show burnout
Winners: Portugal
Dark Horse: Denmark
Flops: Germany

Dont think the armband helped him last season either.
Agreed, but as Hamish says, Clarke doesn't seem the type of guy to throw a curve ball or be in any way adventurous?
Winners : Germany
Dark Horse : Netherlands
Flops : France
Scotland - Rock bottom of the group or Quarter Finals.
England will do fine and progress. What’s happened that now we think we can suddenly beat them on their own turf or that a draw is what we should expect?
We’ve done well to get this far but it’s bloody obvious we are very limited.
Winners I’d say France.

McGregor shouldn't be starting, there's a list of players that deserve to be ahead of him. McGinn and McTominay are stick ons.
Armstrong, Turnbull, Gilmour would all be better choices at this point.
Pains me to say the O'Donnell will be the RWB for us unless we need to win v Croatia in the final game.
I’d rather start Gilmour instead of McGregor.

Well Ginger, I think we are a better team than the team that drew 2-2 with them last time out.
I wouldn't be so quick to roll over and concede the England game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Come on. I was at that game and they should have been out of sight first half.
Two good strikes from free kick opportunities (one which should have gone the other way) against an atrocious keeper who was beaten both times with a ball that landed mid goal.
Put the sheites up them so they went straight up and equalised as everyone in the ground knew they would do.
It was superb but let's not kid on we didn't have luck that day.
We've got a chance against England unless Grealish and/or Foden decide to take the game away from us by having a stormer.
We're not equipped to deal with those kind of mavericks, not sure any team is but imagine them running at Hanley, he will tie his legs in knots.

TAA might have that accolade but only on a medium term average basis. He is not the form RB and playing form players is also an important consideration. On form he was 4th RB. As much as I dislike Walker.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be honest, I'd probably say over the last 2/3 months of the season he's been the best of the 4 actually, he's been in fantastic form during the last third of the season. Obviously it's irrelevant now because he's injured anyway, but it's the principle that his place was under consideration, where, in my opinion, it shouldn't be.

The point is that for all their talented players England do no have a very good manager and are not playing particularly well.
We have a strong core of players and Clarke seems to have developed that club side type feel that means we might produce more than the sum of its parts.
I thought we were pretty pash under Clarke after we scraped through to the euros. But the addition of Che Adams, the development of some of the younger players and just the general feel about the team all seems to be positive.
Scotland can get something out the game with England. Whether they will or not remains to be seen.
I think England will qualify from the group - they have too many good players not to. But I think they will toil big time when they come up against a Belgium or a France.

Thats football though.
It doesnt matter if you dominate but dont score.
What then matters most if you havent built up a comfortable lead is whether your keeper can save those pash free kicks hit straight at him.
These are the things that decide the outcomes of football matches. These are the differences between success and failure.
Scotland have it in us to put the wind up england and get something out the game. They are far from a well oiled team.

He was better. Still some howlers. Against players that helped win national leagues and CL, no contest. Like Robbo, he plays the Liverpool system well it's an alien cavalier system that their national teams don't. James, Trippier, Walker, TAA.
I’m not disagreeing that England can’t be got at but I’m struggling to get really on board with anything much more than we just look a bit more solid ourselves.
I’ll be more than delighted if we do get a result against them mind. Seeing as I have a ticket of course

Without being disrespectful, we should be one of the sides going to win this tournament whereas Scotland aren't. We should be going after teams and playing an attacking style that fits in our best players. I'd be dammed if their isn't a manager out there that would be able to fit TAA into an attacking style of play at this level.
Robertson at Scotland is a different case because it probably doesn't suit the rest of your players in respect to where you are as a national team. Of course, the players at Celtic/Rangers will be used to dominating, playing on the front foot etc, but in respect to the rest of the sides at the Euro's, you have one of the weakest squads and players understand that and know that you will probably have to be more conservative in order to do as well as possible, whereas England should be going after teams to do as well as possible.
Without being disrespectful, we should be one of the sides going to win this tournament whereas Scotland aren't.
