Walker isn't going to play as a wing back in a back 5

Pickford has been awful this season, but it seems Southgate has faith in him.

I expect he will go Walker and Shaw either side of stones, leaving the wings backs freedom to go forward and the cbs all able to play with the ball.

I also wouldn’t be surprised to see both sterling and rashford benched, on form, they should be.

Depressing that Southgate has been given responsibility for a talented group.

No faith whatsoever that he will get the best out of a squad with the likes of Grealish, Foden, Mount, Sancho and Bellingham added to the likes of Kane, Rashford and Sterling.

Side should be built around Grealish and Foden, but he will build it around a back five, Rice and Henderson/Phillips.

Depressing.

Think we'll struggle more without him

Need runners off Kane otherwise things get very slow and static imo

Not only the England manager is winging it, but some of his players will suffer the fake syndrome, imo when they'll face some players with technical ability to destroy them. You only have to look at that first match yesterday to notice, the difference between some of that Italian players and what Southgate is going to select.
Oh that moment wen the whole nation realises their darling "talents" are not up to the notch

Depressing that we have a pretty strong squad at the moment, but we still haven’t really moved on from being a set piece team. Our team certainly isn’t the most talented group in Europe but we don’t seem to have progressed our play much since having this squad at our disposal

Probable side worries me if true. There is literally no height in the team.

It’s a great attacking squad pretty average every where else..

Personally if all were fit I’d play this side but that’s just me. Not a clue what Southgate will do.

I quite like that, but I wouldn't start Rashford, I'd be starting Sterling, and with Bellingham replacing Mount if he's struggling in that position. Be brave.

Yeh true, thought maybe Bellingham instead.
Don’t rate Sterling and my United bias wants Rashy to play and do well!

Whoever we put out, always looks championship standard !
