would feel more confident 4 Italy if the rest of the midfielders were not injured (Verratti, Pellegrini, Sensi)
Yeah but I was surprised at how good Locatelli was 4za. Barella was obviously great but Locatelli surprised me.

interesting u say about Locatelli, he was generally criticized 4 a less good than expected performance!
i thort he was ok, not grate but fine.
Really? I thought he did a good job at cleaning up the ball and recycling possession, he also passed through the lines into Barella, Berardi and Insigne well.
yup, that was the consensus among the commentatores
i think he wss asked too play that roll and the good thing about him, Barella n Jorginho is they can all rotate the varius rolls from defending, recycling n creating.
The relatively slow Italian centre back pairing and playing a high line seems to be very risky and untested for now, but they do look very good at the moment.
For me France is still the team to beat because they have top quality in every part of the squad and Mbappe/Pogba as cherries on top.
I also think Spain is looking good for their way of playing. I very much hate their infuriating style, but that midfield looks very annoying to play against especially when they meet teams that don't park the bus.
Portugal and France for me, both have brilliant players, both can defend well, both have won tournaments recently so confidence will be high.
France and Portugal in that order for me. Outstanding as teams with game changing individuals in their line up. England to make the last eight or four and fall to one of the big guns.

Don't England face France or Portugal in the last 16? Our Euros will end there.
Italy, although Portugal and France look stong and will go far.
Italy looked really solid, but having said that Germany didn't do much to trouble France yesterday either so for me both the Italians and the French look the strongest so far.
I can't say I thought of Portugal all that highly really, they didn't do a great deal for 80 minutes of that game yesterday. Based on that performance it's not somebody I massively fear if we were to draw them in the Last 16.
