Rice would be ok if he dropped in and made a back 3 so the fullbacks could push up. As is it we have a rigid back 4 with two stood in front of them. Southgate is the issue here, not the players

It’s just not a very exciting England team is it?
All the hoopla about Grealish and I’m sorry but I just couldn’t see what all the fuss is about. He’s a decent player no more than that.
I don’t like Southgate as a manager but we are not really in a golden age of talent for the national side so I don’t blame him for cutting the cloth to suit the players available.
We will grind out a few results and fall by the wayside as soon as we play Italy, Belgium Germany or France.

Czech had no opportunities in 2nd half
First half they 3 good opportunities
Hendo did a good job in midfield. He even put one of the plate for Kane but I've seen hedgehogs move quicker than Kane recently.
I wouldn't trust phillips. he is running about anywhere he pleases.
Was ok when croatia left loads of gaps but england were in real trouble v scotland as a results and frankly if the scots had an actual forward england could have been done.
Rice is average. I don't get the criticism as his job is to stand there and be negative. How can you criticise the player for doing the job given to him.

The funniest furrrking thing is that Gilmour dude had the exact same impact on the England vs Scotland match as Henderson had yesterday and Rice has had all tournamenbut the Scotland fans have been waaanking over how "good" he was while laughing at England players that have had a same furrrking impact on the end result of matches.

That's just not true though
Henderson is a champions League and premier league winning captain.
He's excellent at dictating the pace of play and was instrumental in us being on par with City the past few seasons (other than this season of course).
But apparently the worst ever player for England...

It’s just not a very exciting England team is it?
