F-ck me does this really need to be explained to you? Rob said this in response to your simpleton argument that you can still pass the ball back to the keeper in today’s game.
“It’s not really the same thing though. Back then with no back pass rule defenders weren’t pressed as much by attackers as they could just pass back to the keeper and the keeper could pick it up. Defenders had much more time to think about what they could do with the ball as there was less danger from scenarios where they had to be positive with it.
Hansen was a great defender and I agree with you he would match up with Rio in a list of great CBs. But he did thrive in a different time. The back pass rule changed how defenders played the game.”
Nowhere in that does Rob claim you cant pass the ball back to the keeper now, it’s clear you can and doesn’t need confirming. Rob was simply trying to explain why the pass back rule changed how the game is now played and I agree in parts and further explained why. You then being the complete and utter pathetic tw-t you are continue to argue a point no one disagreed with. Because you’re a c-nt who can’t ever debate properly and understand that there can be other points to make on an issue.

No. Does the fact that my comment to Robb at the start was correct need to be explained to you? You are a well known dummy on this site.

…..
Only from a time wasting perspective.it. It didn’t change much else. Defenders could still pass it back to the keeper if under pressure. They still do.
Granted they have to think about it a bit more.
Your comment at the start has no relevance because not a single person disagrees with it, we’re all aware players can still pass the ball back to keepers. I couldn’t care either way if I’m known as a dummy on this site because unlike yourself I don’t need some weird validation from a faceless football forum, I’m happy to have the occasional debate about footballing matters and enjoy reading from people more knowledgeable than myself on certain parts of the game. I get it, you’re probably a lonely man who doesn’t get much interaction in the real world because you’re an idiot so feel the need to continually argue on here even when no one else is trying to. You get a thrill out of arguing with strangers because they are the only people who give you the time of day, even though half the time you talk utter crap or state the obvious. You’re a c-nt, you have nothing remotely interesting to say on this forum because you’re an idiot.

So basically you have been arguing pointlessly again then. Do you even try to think.
I get that you enjoy the attention but my point was that debating the pass back rule is about more than just whether or not you can still pass the ball back to the keeper, it has effected how other parts of the game are played which both me and Rob were pointing out. Debates are interesting when you can look beyond the basics and discuss other factors, something you continually struggle to do. But because you crave attention you end up just arguing like a senile old fart. I’m sure you’ll want the last word but I’ve nothing more to say.

Please understand this before one of us dies. I have not argued anything that is incorrect.
What you are arguing I agreed on about five pages back. You are such a dumbass.
The back pass rule achieved exactly what it set out to do. It stopped defenders and goal keepers especially from time wasting.
Defenders didn’t have to change their game that much. Especially when under pressure (which was Robb’s point). They could still pass it back. They just had to think about it a bit more.
Once you understand that passing back to the keeper back then wasn’t a tactic to use when under pressure (granted you could) it was used to waste time when not under any pressure. United fans have been mocking Liverpool fans on it for years.
