Not just me. Being widely praised on Twitter:

James Benge
@jamesbenge

Gimme Emma Hayes and Ally McCoist as an analysis double pivot

Alex Stewart
@AFHStewart

A co-comm who understands tactics. Thank the spirits who dwell in rocks and streams for Emma Hayes. Fack she’s just quoted xA numbers.

FootballJOE
@FootballJOE

The level of detail in Emma Hayes' insight is so refreshing. By far and away the best co-commentator at the tournament

James
@afcjxmes

Emma Hayes is a brilliant pundit, offers genuinely insightful analysis. It’s really refreshing to listen to.

Cenk
@CenkGALA

Emma Hayes makes the like of Robbie Savage and Danny Murphy look like absolute amateurs. Her insight is actually so impressive

Jordan Campbell
@JordanC110

Emma Hayes is the most well-researched and insightful analyst/co-comms on tele. Picks out tactical points really quickly and puts it across in normal terms for people to understand. No filler.

Carlon Carpenter
@CarlonCarpenter

Emma Hayes does this commentary lark on the side in her free time and she's better than 99.9% of people who do it as their main job.

there was a great bit where she said that the wingers tucking in is causing problems, I thought “why” then she explained how it’s allowing pedri to drag modric in. just great insight that is immediately visible

Don't be such a snowflake. That's just virtue signalling from the woke community.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nope. It is just analysis of a game by people watching it pointing to evidence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Analysis of a minority commentator written by people specifically for social media you mean?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

People writing their honest thoughts while pointing directly to examples of her insight you mean?

As mentioned, I am pretty much as far from a political progressive as you can get but the reality remains Hayes has been much better than the low bar of most male commentators.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Getting so many woke vibes off you right now.

So I take it there wasn't one person that posted negative views of her then?

I've always said that ITV shouldn't be allowed to cover sporting events.

Emma Hayes may talk alot of sense, I wouldn't know and quite frankly I don't want to know.

Male sport should mean male commentators and pundits.

My point was that plenty have praised her and hold similar views to me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I bet plenty have criticsized her and hold the same views as many on here as well.

I reckon some do, and I reckon some are just triggered by her. Like you seem to be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think her voice is suited to her doing signing for the deaf.

Nothing to do with me being 'triggered' I think McCoist and Savage are also terrible co-commentators,does that make me 'triggered' too?

Then I suggest one of you do a poll on JA to settle it?

ITV.....

Formed when Granda and Carlton TV merged. Granda the bigger of the two and based in Manchester. ITV stayed loyal to Manchester and more or less became Manchester TV during the heyday of Man Utd’s seasons in the Champions League. Hired a Man U fan in the face of Clive Tyldsley to front the commentary and provide pro Utd commentary during every game they played. If he commentated on another game not involving Utd he would do his very best to mention Utd “he used to play for Manchester United you know” or “Manchester United are interested in signing him”

ITV were pro Man Utd during they heyday and showed no impartiality,

The channel was always behind BBC in terms of quality. Crap graphics, cheesy music. Look no further than their own version of Final Score in the early noughties called The Goal RushDuring that same period they gained the rights to the EPL highlights package with BBC missing out. They named it The Premiership
Amazing creativity there

ITV got the rights to England vs USA in the 2010 World Cup and lost the footage leaving millions of viewers missing Steven Gerrard’s 4th min goal.

There is more I am sure but they will always be second to BBC and they know it. There’s some crazy England record as well where see lose more games on ITV than on BBC too.
BBC have had their moments and the Eriksen incident could be questioned but in terms of quality and presentation you cannot look beyond them.

ITV
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When ITV get to threaten people into paying them money even if they don't want to watch their channels, then let me know how good their production is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On top of that for every WC or Olympics where coverage was shared BBC always sent roughly 4x the staff of ITV - probably because someone else was paying.

4* don't care if they're male or female
2* if they can't pronounce players' names they wouldn't be immune from criticism however good the insight is.

Fvkin Hell.

When I think of the utter krap I've heard in the past 50+ years from male

commentators. From cronies, has-beens, and never was-es.

You know what to expect when you read I'm not (fill in the blank), but ..
