Reckon whoever wins this game will be in the final.
I think a lot depends on the line up and formation. I think Grealish should definitely start (but probably won't). I think Saka deserves another start, but I wouldn't have a problem if he's dropped for Foden.
Also, I'm not sure about the rumours that we'll be playing 3 at the back. Why change to formation now?
Let's go with an unchanged side from the previous game I say.,
Come on England!
About time some English players lived up to the massive hype around them. Will Harry turn up? I love Harry Kane but he has not turned up to any big games in his career. Any final or semi final and he seems to disappear.
If he really wants to step up from spurs then he needs to prove he can. No better opportunity than today.
Lets have it. COME ON ENGLAND!!!
I'm as disenchanted with England as I am Spurs atm. Negative football just ruins my enjoyment, and Southgate is on a par with Jose when it comes to dull tactics.
Would love to see the attacking talent utilised, but I imagine it will be 5 defenders, 2 DM's and a narrow defeat
He won't drop Sterling, even though I think we would be more creative without him in the team. He's been pretty anonymous during the 3 games, but scoring our only goals in the tournament has cemented his place in the starting line up. Saka, Foden and Grealish would be my front 3. The odds are stacked in our favour tonight which makes me nervous. They rarely never turn up. Let's hope we show a bit more than we did against the Scots.

That's nuts, those 3 weren't even on anyones radar last year, now they should all start in this massive game..nah, this is partly why we always flop, we get carried away with the new in form players every tournament.

its a good and fair point, however you'd think with two defensive midfielders it shouldnt be a problem doing something similar.
It shouldn't but this is England we're talking about. I don't know, i just see us doing the same thing again and again every tournament, where players that don't play, somehow become our saviours (eg Grealish), and the people that are doing the job for us (eg Sterling) are not good enough.
It depends whether the Chelsea boys play, as to whether we win or not !

agreed, them playing would be a hinderance considering they havent trained with the rest of the team during a period of isolation.
England are a very average outfit, but they are playing the worse German side for years. They also have had the advantage of playing every game at Wembley, the only country in the Tournament to have home advantage in every game. They are also in a very easy half of the draw, and will miss all the better teams, who will knock each other out. So they will never get a better chance.
That said I wouldn`t be surprised if England blow it, and Germany win.
In truth I cannot get over excited, and will be glad when the Prem starts again, and I can get to watch Spurs again.

Well excited about this. Lets get behind them for once and try and feel proud. All this negative nonsense winds me up.

You're showing your age.
We've mostly flopped because we never play the players that are in form. Those 3 have been showing up for their clubs all season. Even with Grealish coming back from injury you can see he's a class apart.
We haven't performed once under Southgates tenure in Tournament football. Not once. Aside from a penalty shootout against a Coulumbia that was more about overcoming hoodoo than performance. Every England performance is just meh. Just like the 3 performances so far.
Croatia and Switzerland showed what so called inferior teams can do against superior opposition and even though Croatia lost they showed grit and courage. Switzerland then put in the performance of the tournament so far. Stellar.
Nothing I've seen under Southgates tenure so far has even come close. Utterly uninspiring manager in everyway.
Will that change today? I highly doubt it.
Will it change for next year's World Cup after he's been told today's result will keep him in the job regardless?
Nope.

Still makes me laugh that people act like getting to a semi final in that world cup means nothing, like it is something we regularly do. I wonder what it would take for people to actually think Southgate is doing a good job. I reckon if we got to a final in this comp people would still want him gone.... anyone would think we regularly get close to winning things.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Struggling to get past the likes of Panama and Tunisia and relying on Kane penalties as winning goals I'd be asking questions. Then blowing a lead against Croatia in a SF by playing defensive football for the rest of the Match until we're done over.....yeah not good enough.
Never get a more favoured route to a WC Final whilist playing woeful football. 1st ounce of pressure and we're done.
Not good enough.
