Might be worth a punt, just depends who else we are looking at. Club must also be aware that we are heavily loaded with non home grown players too.

If he joins great if not we need to look at younger players. I wouldn't mind seeing Dele given a run out in CM.

Would be a great bit of business if we can sell Winks and replace him with Pjanic on a free

Brilliant player. A ciup if we could get him. Would be the Eriksen replacement that we have missed.

But that's if we get him. Unless Paratici can work his magic it will be hard, we were after him when Poch was with us and we were flying high. He wasn't keen. So now when our stock has relatively fallen it would be a harder ask.

Too one-paced to even get into a subpar Barca midfield last season, so much so that they played a couple of 17 year olds instead. He's over 30, barely played 1,000 minutes in the past year. Definite no.

Read yday he refused to leave Barca on mutal terms and is looking to return to Juve. Guessing if he does leave he will want CL football anyway.

Agree with this.

I just feel we could do better with a younger, hungrier player.

We need young hungry hidden gems or fantastic in prime years players. He's neither

He was top class a few years ago. But given he couldn't get a look in at a poor Barca team I would assume he's gone downhill.

Would be OK if it was on reasonable wages and a Winks/Sissoko replacement.

Yeah I do feel we are back to the young/hungry/potential transfer strategy

Fits the Paratici mould of past their best, huge wages, no resell value so yes why not.

This has got Willian, Eto'o, Falcao, Schweinsteiger, Maicon etc written all over it - wrong side of 30. Why spend money on a 31 year old Pjanic when Camavinga wants to leave Rennes? Should have been all over Soumare too.

if we want that mold of player just sign Sabitzer ffs

i know Pjanic is more of a deeper lying play maker but the pace of the league and being new to it in your 30s in that position could be carnage

Agree with some of the comments but let's be ruthless. Simple question for me..is he better than what we have? If yes...then upgrade.

Leta not fall into the Levy trap of buying supposed younger hungrier players then start combining when they become unprofessional after one season of big wages like Winks and Dele.

Honestly, what has Levy done? This season could well be shaping up for the worst in a decade

Or could well be better than last season.

Any season without Kane would be a struggle irrespective of who is manager and who we sign.

Lets see if Kane stays

we are on the cusp of the homegrown player limit as it is

most players willing to fack off are our English players

so then that would then mean we would have to sign locally trained and British players to replace these guys

It could. Let’s hope so. But I can’t help feeling a little negative about it all. Kane will go - we all know that - so depends how well the money is reinvested. If we put it straight back in with three quality players, and keep Son, and Nuno professes (quickly) as a manager then great.

But there are so many bad vibes coming out of the club right now, and silly decisions, it’s hard not to feel that we’re going in the wrong direction

I`d take him on a season long loan but at 31 he is too old for a permanent deal. He is also rumoured to be on 270K a week at Barca, so it would require some negotiation on how much of his wages we pay, similar to the Bale loan.
