This is getting tedious now. That said I think they missed out a couple of points :
1. They hate Derby County
2. They will never forgive us for making them look stupid
3. They hate Mel Morris
Just seen this on Twitter which indicates we can't sign, anyone.

Also, reading Tom's post, we can only get a player (where possible) on a half season loan, sheesh.

Expected more clubs in the Championship to be under (soft) embargo.
Birmingham?
Blackburn?
Huddersfield
Stoke?

I expect half of the Championship will be under a soft embargo before long....having to pay out huge monthly salaries and associated overheads with no income is a recipe for going bankrupt - thus falling foul of the FFP rules....and unless I'm wrong (correct me if I am) I've not seen the EFL say anything about giving clubs any leeway with regards to profit & sustainability since all the problems with the lockdowns...
I suspect the leeway will come into consideration (unless your football club starts with the letter 'D 'and ends with the word County ) when account are due to be submitted for the years 2019/20 & 2020/2021.
I'm waiting for the next scandal to hit our club with Mel Morris fudging figures by transferring x amount of transactions to these years to balance the books for FFP.
Probably another reason we released Ibe (and maybe some of the others?) if we're trying to get that number down.
Doesn't look like submitting the accounts will get us out of the embago either, need to pay what we owe to HMRC and transfer installments.
Where do we go from here?
That list does make it clear that we're the biggest offenders in the league though, so it's becoming increasingly difficult to argue the EFL are being unjust.
I've been trying to look at the EFL in a more objective way to see if I may come up with a different opinion as to their suitability for purpose.
So: professional clubs in a league need a governing body and by definition that body has to impose regulations and then police compliance. By playing in that league each club accepts those regulations (and some may even have been party to formulating or changing them from time to time.) But should not those regulations themselves comply with or not be counter to the general law(s) of the land? Should not the policing and enforcing of them be fair and seen to be fair? In formulating policy, regulations, procedures etc should not regard have been paid to the other stakeholders involved - the players and THE FANS? Without fans professional football would not/could not exist. Quite apart from gate money there would be no sponsorship and no TV etc money.
DCFC have clearly been in breach of certain regulations and further sanctions may yet well follow. The same for Sheff Wed for example. Both clubs had to be sanctioned. BUT what of the consequences of those sanctions for respective fans? What sort of a season did SW fans have last season and what had they expected to have? Damn all. What sort of a season can DCFC expect? Will either club survive all this without relegation or further relegation and possibly extinction? Is that what the EFL really want? When the accounts of more and more clubs are examined over the FFP three-year periods, will not more be found to be in breach? Covid's effects make that very likely. Maybe the lot of them in the Championship are/will be in breach other than those with parachute payments. And wouldn't it be funny if they all were handed a 12 point deduction?
So what is the answer? I don't know what company law allows but the fairest solution to my mind would be that the actual perpetrators of any wrongdoing should be penalised (owner, chairman, CEO, whoever) but not the fans because let's face it, whatever sanctions are imposed bite most severely on them. Fans want their clubs to be able to deal in the market and to be able to compete. If sanctions could be imposed on club personnel directly maybe, just maybe, owners etc would be a little more circumspect and careful in how they run their clubs.
Finally it really does seem that the EFL needs a complete overhaul so as in the future to avoid the dreadful delays, misunderstandings and misconceptions which the DCFC saga has thrown up.
