Rashford surgery on/off

Rashford is one of the best forwards in world football, any team would miss him; even for just two games never mind 2 months. Between he and Ole, the right decision will be made.

People have accused Ole of being too nice at times, maybe he's about to make a statement by not letting Rashford have the operation. He'll be able to play through it.

It depends. You have to remember that Ole also has a medical team and perhaps they're telling him the injury doesn't need surgery. Often there are psychological elements to injuries too and maybe that's happened with Rashford.

It would be a hell of a statement though if he stopped it, medical advice taken into account etc.

Tbh he was stinking out the united and England team pretty bad end of the season. On form he is OK but nowhere near one of the world's best 😅

Not sure he will live upto the hype and just an English martial imo

Best in the world if he has the surgery. Overrated English martial if not. I have often been influenced by other posters.

Imagine the theories that would flying about if this were Pogba not, Rashford we were talking about.

The whole....

since his back problems best part of 2 years ago is Rashford actually still injured/playing through a pain barrier every week/or is it actually now his back/shoulder/elbow/or all 3/but whatever it it is clearly affecting his body shape and on pitch comitment/clearly see him wincing with pain/he's due for surgery in the summer/ when he gets home from the Euros/maybe he now doesnt need surgery afterall/ its up to Rashy himself/he will see how he gets on next season/he is happy to play through the pain barrier /etc.etc.etc.....

is getting very tedious now.

His manager should make a definitive statement of the club's intention for the player. What has been posted on the club website is just a continued fudge of these rumours that never seem to go away. I am sure the club has an adequate medical team and they will/should know what is the appropriate course of action for their asset. I am sure that Rashford himself wants to play as often as possible but sometimes somebody has to say, just no.

If they think the shoulder will improve after the surgery then surely they should go for the op?

Yes, missing a key player isn't ideal but I'd rather have 6/7 months of him in good form than the alternative.

Hopefully they come to the right decision.

His quote was "We have to take the best course of action for him and the club. We still need to address it with the experts."

That doesn't sound like someone about to take unilateral action.

It will be a medicak decision based on what's best for the player and not an opportunity for ole to dispel some sort of nice guy image by not letting one of his players have recommended medical care

Letting the experts decide clearly seems like the best option but the club don’t seem to have a great track record when it comes to fitness/injuries and doing what’s best for players. Not that i know anything about the injury, I just hope those involved aren’t worried about rashford being out for a long period if surgery is chosen, that should be the least of their worries.

Rashford should be advised by the club that it is in his best interest to get the Operation.

Likewise fans who use twatbook with him should do something useful for once and tell him so as well.

The Sancho signing should make this decision a lot easier. Our forward line is more than equipped to cope without him for a couple of months.

Given the form of Sancho, Greenwood and Cavani at the back end of last season, there's a massive argument to be made that this half-fit version of Rashford we've seen since the turn of the year doesn't get into our first 11 anyway.

Needs surgery.

Should of had it in the Summer, obviously not fit enough to have been with the England squad and a big mistake by Southgate subbing him on to take a penalty.

I'm ready for the blow back.

How is Ole going to stop Marcus from having an operation?? If Marcus says he is going to get surgery, there is absolutely nothing, nothing, Ole can do.

U can't just say someone is wuming because they disagree with you. Certainly more evidence to suggest I'm right than your statement that he is one of the world's best.
