I rate him moderately if he goes out on loan, but doesn't leave permanently, otherwise I wouldn't have rated him at all. If he stays for the season then I rate him extremely highly. I have never seen him play.
I’ll be honest I’ve never seen him play but considering the wide options we have a loan is probably best.
Wingers are like buses. You wait years for one and then 4 come along at once.
Never seen him play but he has world class potential.

I’ve never waited years for a bus.
Would be good to see him loaned a little closer to home. A season getting games in the Championship would be interesting.
Well that’s the issue, I mean you say he deserves a place, and you can only register so much, plus, you want the lad to get a good amount of playing time, for a what 19/20 yr old. And at UTD may be a little early… I don’t mind him going on loan, but fack me, James best not be the back up to Sancho!!
Ha! Just had a nasty thought. Imagine if Ole has Sancho as back up to James!?! Now that’s scary… considering what Southgate did to him in the Euros.
So many similarities between how Ole and Southgate do things….

Dan James started 18 games in all comps last season. He’s well down the pecking order and wouldn’t be shocked if he’s not even at United by the end of the window.

Yes that would be a good option. Or in place of James. He does seem to have something about him.
Amad seems the more talented. Hes been on various clubs radars for some time and in fm19 he had the wonder kid status and was talked about as a very exciting player with a ton of potential.
From what I've seen of Pellistri, he's tidy on the ball and seems to look to glide past people rather than burn them for pace. Haven't seen enough to make a judgement on what he'll become but I think a loan is a good option. A year of playing regular football at his age will do so much more for his development than sticking about with the under 23s, getting some cup appearances and being on the bench here or there with the first team.
Noise coming out of the club was how surprised people were with Amad and they weren't expecting him to just take to training etc as he did and were taken back a bit by his ability. He may well get game time in the coming season similar to what Mason did in his breakout season. At this point my best guess would be Amad has the higher ceiling out of the two players and you can see that in how he plays. Even though he's obviously young, you can see he's got a bit of something about him.
I agree fox, Amad does seem more talented. But our very own Morriston shows how hard it is to show it in the first team. I have a sneaky feeling Pellistri will be the star of the two.
What I do like is the forward talent we seem to be assembling.

...Rashford......Cavani.......Sancho
...Martial......Greenwood.....Amad
Two for each position, so no room for Peli and Chong.
He's better going on loan than playing League cup games and about 4 to 5 other matches here and there tops. Same goes for Amad.

I'd rather see him playing in the PL. Having played in La Liga last season, surely he needs a step up rather than a step down?
Pellistri was one of the few who made the most of his game time yesterday. Heaton, Shoretire and Galbraith were the others IMO.
The big question for me, because I have not seen anything of late, is where was Martial?
Looked fantastic in the highlights yesterday.

I read over the weekend both he and VDB were due to return to training today
Just had a look there. It's actually next Monday they're due to start training. Would still be adequate time for them to be ready for the opening game, you'd hope

Championship might be lesser quality to la liga but it’s still a very competitive league that will help most kids develop. He seems like quite a small lad, a bit of physicalness might be what he needs.
I thought he was bigger than Amad, in fact about the right size for a winger
It’s not like he even done well in La Liga anyway, he was a sub.
What's the right size for a winger? He's short and also physically small.
