Wouldn't be surprised if we are actively looking to get rid of him if it looks like he won't sign a new contract.

odd that this guy spends half his time on here mocking other posters for swallowing gossip uncritically - even when we are strongly linked with players, eg sancho - and the other half posting vague and unsubstantiated rumours, such as this article.

It’s a logical move for him if true. He’s one of France’s best players and would be moving back to Paris where I think his family are. PSG would have a great midfield with Veratti, Pogba and Wijnaldum whereas last season their midfield wasn’t great. We’d get some money for a player who never really committed to us as every summer his agent often stirred up trouble.

I know its gossip but him leaving may be as good as getting off Sanchez off our books. For the trouble, for the cost, he is not close to worth the stress.

How does everyone feel about letting him go and then buying him back in a couple of seasons? We would make all of the money back in shirt sales alone.

Even if he only has one year left, that’s a pitiful amount for a player of his class. Be a shame if he does go, I know he doesn’t do it often enough but in the right system he is world class

No idea if it’s true but Veratti and Wijnaldum are exactly the sort of players he would need next to him to work.

Liverpool have proven that you can win titles with binmen in midfield. With the bolstering of the defence and attack we might be OK with McT and Fred behind Bruno. Perhaps even more balanced. Remember that during our best run under Ole in the back end of 2020 Pogba didn’t feature. Just need Rashford to find his form after he recovers and Sancho to bed in quickly.

As long as you set up *exactly* the right way to get the best out of him he'll be great for two or three games in a row a couple of times a season.

I think he tries for us, but building a team round him gets you nowhere. Maybe a chance for Donny to show what he can do with more game time.

indeed, i daresay that when we have a pair of fbs who can combine for 31 goals/assists between them over a season, we can start recruiting our midfielders from the binman market.

Whilst true, given the rate at which Bruno creates and adding Sancho to the equation, we can afford to lose Pogba’s creativity if we can replace him with someone that offers better balance and control to the centre of midfield.

Liverpool’s midfield isn’t the most creative, but it’s better at building up play than ours is - as is their defence. If we had a couple of their cm’s we’d be better off than we are now.
