I think I was the only one, but I quite liked LVG. It was just a bad time for him to join.

I liked him for his personality and the fact he won us the FA cup. It's genuinely the only time I've seen us win it so I'll forever like him for that.
The less said about his #Philosophy, the better!

I think our youngsters would be in a much better position now had LVG stayed on than Jose coming in.
His biggest error was not bringing in a striker, we controlled games but couldn’t score. Would have like to see us with the signings made the season he left.

The world cup needs characters like Van Gaal. I read that apparently Van Gaal was in the frame to replace Koeman, but the players weren’t keen on having a disciplinarian and wanted De Boer.
So there’s potential for it to blow up spectacularly, and I cannot wait to see what Van Gaal has to say if that happens.
De Boer has to go down in history as one of the worst managers ever.
Weren’t a load of the Dutch squad including vvd dead against LVG coming back? Sure I read somewhere a lot of the senior players were vehemently against his appointment?

This is the thing… I often see people talking about Van Gaal’s signings as if they were an obstacle he had to contend with.
For me, and I’ve said this before, he also gave up on his own signings too quickly. Memphis, Schneiderlin, Darmian… OK, so none of them exactly lit up OT but they were out of the side pretty quickly, as I remember, with no extended chance to play themselves back in.

Well there are always players missing out. And getting injured now is not LVGs fault.
Tbh I’m not really being serious. Van Dijk’s obviously improved massively since then, and Martins Indi was actually good that world cup.
