No chance Lewandowski would come in and fail on a level that others have.
His best years are behind him, sort of, his best season was probably last season.
Just paper talk.....I bloody hope !
I really hope Werner stays and plays off / left of an effective goal scorer. The pace and nature of his runs creates so much space and the pressure for him to score is lessened.
I was watching Werner be interviewed... he's proper funny! Certainly a bit different and clearly doesn't give a toss.
I like him and there is not much wrong with his game that couldn't be fixed and get him another 10 goals at least on top of last seasons tally.
Hard no to this. I like Werner, he had a massive contribution last season regardless of being dodgy in front of goal. We must keep him.
Honestly the club could flip a coin via Werner this year (if they've got the money/wages to burn). Wouldn't surprise me if he scored 30+ in all comps next season, wouldn't surprise me if he scored less than 10.
Guess the smart solution, again if the money/ambition is there, would be to sign a striker who's equally comfortable playing in a one or two CF system. Hence Haaland, who should in theory at least.
We have a young squad and are more likely to keep promising youngsters than swap the for amazing players but have a few more miles on the clock.
