You're facing the same issue Barca had when they lost Fabregas, Pique, Alba etc. You simply have too many players coming through.
Combine that with Sancho and to an extent Lamptey showing how quickly they can get first team exposure elsewhere then you are swimming against a massive tide.

That's about it in a nutshell. Liveramento I think will be a very good player, however as a RB, the academy just keeps rolling them out, Lampty, Sterling, Liveramento and they have Reece James in front of them who looks to be a fixture for years to come.
Don’t understand why Brighton are favourites for Livramento. He presumably only wants a move for regular playing time yet he wants to go and compete with Lamptey? Seems like odd logic
Hope we can hang on to him too mate but a number of things aren't working in our favour right now. As has been suggested seeing other youngsters leave will encourage some especially if they don't think they can compete. Those that do believe in themselves are likely to accept loans. We have a young squad, it's going take time and a footballers sweetspot doesn't last so that will drive some on. The academy is also a source of income, we have to get used to it.
It will change maybe for the worse, hopefully the better but change is inevitable.

Sancho wasnt one of ours
He supported us growing up but he was a City academy guy
We have lost Musiala to Germany though and Bayern are using him in the 1st team

Yes but I mean it shows that these youngsters have a quick route to first team football if they want it and at pretty good levels.
Funnily enough if Bate and co want to eventually make it with you this way is probably their best shot at it.
I dont begrudge any of them leaving
I think people are just shocked to lose so many in one window when we usually lose youth in a more spread out fashion after theyve gone on loan
It sounds like the usual technique we used to keep youth was by offering vey good money on first contracts
But now the Chelsea academy’s stock has never been higher and they can leverage more + better first team shots elsewhere
