Yeah and he clearly put everything into it judging by how he looked when he crossed the line. Our guy looked like he had more in the tank.

Just reading that. He’s had some injuries and a disqualification in qualifying. At 33 that’s it for him at the Olympics now.

It's all about the youth now, Yee should be better at the next Olympics, more experienced, injuries notwithstanding.

For me it's still a chance missed as I think he had what it takes to get the gold, but maybe just didn't want it enough. 23 years of age is only 1 year off Brownlee getting his first gold.

I wouldn't say he didn't want it enough - perhaps different tactics might have got him the gold.

He said he was over the moon to get the silver. I dunno if that suggests he wasn't disappointed enough to miss out on gold. But either way you could tell the winner put more effort at the end as he collapsed and was still out of breath when interviewed. Yee not so much.

Tbf Brownlee is the gratest triathlete in Olympic history.

I wouldn't judge anyone if I've not travelled in their shoes - he said he did the best he could on the day - only he knows.

That winning time was three seconds off Brownlee’s Olympic record. Sometimes you have to give credit where credit is due to the winner. Not moan and question the desire of the runner up because he’s English and didn’t win.

It's like that silly American rugbylite nonsense where the players bump their padded chests and helmeted heads every time somebody throws the ball inbetween cheerleading breaks.

The worst sport is shooting. You watch them pull a trigger, either it hits the target or it doesn't. BOORING

the best sport is tennis
mano a mano
very little luck involved
refs just make factual calls, no judgements
test of skill, athleticism, concentration, stamina n mental tuffness

What about ladytennis?
