Difficult to get your first choices when you aren’t in the CL, unless you are United or Chelsea.
Will be interesting to see how Paratici does things with Spurs. Obviously it was easier to get first choice players at Juve, but even then they had some problems at times and they take punts on loads of players.

But we have a budget and if we chuck another 8m at Romero (current offer apparently 52m euros inc bonuses) its just another 8m we do not have to throw at someone else in another position. You can't just look at it individually either, because the same fans are probably saying that Levy asks too much for Sanchez, Dier etc. But if we sell some of these players cheap and spend a bit more than we wanted on Romero then suddenly we're 20m short
You have to imagine its like Fantasy Football when you have a limited budget and you are trying to get the very best you can in the team. Its really difficult when doing for fun and fecking impossible when doing it in real life.
