There’s quite a few question marks over Liverpool. I think it’s pretty unlikely they’ll get back to the level they were at between 18-20.

It will be interesting to see if they can settle on a permanent replacement for Wijnaldum. The lad was an absolute machine for them.
6 seasons.
League appearances - 38,36,33,35,37,38.
Buying both of those two players doesn’t mean City will dominate.’They could just as easily mot work out.
I don’t think Kane is set for City’s style under pep.
Great if City buy these players, money flows into other clubs and it’s not like other clubs haven’t spent in the past when they were in league 2.

As for the questions, they're difficult to answer. Liverpool could get back to being the juggernaut of 2018-2020 again and if they do, even a City squad including Kane and Grealish wouldn't be able to just run away with it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can’t really see Liverpool just turning on the switch to that form again
It felt like it was 2 years in the making for their PL win.
No one really knows if their rock will return and be the same player and they’re light in midfield pending any transfer activity.
Squad still seems real thin and after a couple of seasons of relative luck injury wise we’ve seen what a couple of injuries to first XI players can do with such a thin squad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A couple of injuries???
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, it's crazy how we are only a couple of injuries away from being awful, yet had loads last season and only finished 5 points behind Ole who is going to walk the league now.
I think anyone underestimating us and how Klopp has such strength and unity, is a muppet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I find it really strange that what happened to us last season is described as a couple of injuries.
Our 3 first team centre backs gone to season ending injuries!
Thiago out for 2 months!
Jota out for 2 months!
Fabinho out for a month!
Henderson out for 3 months!
Keita out 2.5 months!
Only a couple though.

They must have some concerns over their midfield. What with Henderson having injury problems, and Keita, Ox, Thiago and Milner being unable to give them to kind of minutes Wijnaldum could.
Keita being injured works in your favour, you can't claim that was an issue.

Unless I’m mistaken during your rotten spell only VVD and Gomez were long term first XI injuries, I know Henderson was injured later but from the team that won the league I only remember 2 CBs being injured long term along with the 2 new signings.
The lack of depth in the squad was the issue as much as the injuries to 2 players from your league winning season.
If United lost Maguire & Varane for the season they’d have Lindelof, Bailly and Tuanzebe to step in. There would be no need for any midfielders to have to drop back.
But even if we did need CMs to go back there because we lost 5 CBs we still have far more depth in midfield.
Don’t let that 5 point gap fool you. You made all the ground up when most teams were already on their holidays and those above you had European fixtures and crazy schedules while you played barely once a week.
Glossed over just how bad your title defense actually was.
Some people really will say anything on here.
Seems both kls and Fowler chose not to read where I said injuries to first XI.
It’s well documented the drop off in quality in Liverpool’s squad outside the first XI
I don’t think he’s really good at football. But there’s no denying he’s been an important cog in the Liverpool midfield, and his availability - especially compared to the other options - makes him an important player for Liverpool.
Probably the easiest to improve on and wouldn't even start with everyone fit.
