Good article JFDI. We are indeed a well run and also extremely successful Club these days. A lot of money was thrown at it initially as a punt and to try to push the Club to the top table in British and European Football, first by Bates (who was living beyond the Club's means) and also when Mr. A took over (and will still be again if it is deemed necessary) but it's nice to see that we are at least trying to work inside some sort of financial framework that is somehow sustainable.
People will always snipe about how their Club is a superior model and lazy bitching about "financial doping" and it is normally the opposition fans that themselves, have the worst and most parasitic owners that like to make the charge, but all I know is that I supported this Club when we also didn't have a pot to piiss in and I used to envy other Clubs that were flashing the cash at that time and I still enjoy it now that we are in the privileged position to do so now also and all for a reasonably priced season ticket which has been frozen now for many years.
People can say what they like (and do so) but you could do far worse than having Roman Abramovich as an owner of your Football Club.

This doesn't take into account Werner, Havertz etc etc. Just the season you couldn't sign anyone and sold Hazard for crazy money. No chance you made a profit last season.

Yeah, that's true but this proves that it's not just one way though is it? That's the point I was making.
I was on the page talking to a Wolves fan, couldn’t care less about Chelsea but then as usual rather than sticking to the topic at hand it had again descended into Chelsea’s irrational hatred of Spurs.
It’s the most one sided obsession in football, as much as Chelsea want us to be rivals they are third on our list. PSG, Chelsea and Man City should form a plastic rivalry.
Call us an oil club & plastic in the space of two posts yet (a) refer to our side of the rivalry as irrational, (b) persist in claiming it's one sided
The irony here is you're the epitome of why that line doesn't wash. You wanna convince people we don't matter to you, try pretending you're not bitter af
