I dunno, I'm not really that excited. Obviously they have ammased a very exciting squad but it just all seems a little hollow. They'll be more of a bad guy club that I will enjoy seeing lose although they will probably do very well annoyingly. Maybe they'll go for a free Pogba next summer.

He doesn’t need to challenge himself in the PL as his record against English clubs is better than players who’ve played in the PL.
As you say in your OP, his motivation is the CL so he’s at a club where he gets to play alongside his mates and do just that. He’s got great respect for Poch and it’s a perfect deal for all parties. Paris is a great city and the ‘brand’ of PSG suits a guy who’s a legend.

Sorry what planet is OP on? He said Messi should have moved to Dortmund or Milan to make it more ‘interesting’ lol. PSG is literally probably the only club who can afford his wage demands, unless you wanted Messi to drastically reduce his income *just* for the chance of playing for Milan or Dortmund. PSG is clearly the only option for him, and even then I don’t think it’s dull. Great city, brand, players and a decent chance of helping them win their first CL trophy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When did I say he should have?
People are missing the point of the OP.
My point is Messi going to PSG is a boring move for most neutrals.

They’re both Newell’s old boys ex players, Poch is one of the most respected coaches in the game and it’s not exactly rocket science that Messi would respect an Argentinian coach who’s doing well in the game.
My claim is hard to prove, fair enough, but it’s not something that is a crazy claim.

That’s because you aren’t very good at thinking laterally. There’s a reason PSG appointed him manager and Real wanted him. Taking Spurs to a CL final with zero spent the summer before is a feat of coaching that very few could do.
I dunno, I see a lot of tension in this photo, I think Messi actually hates Poch because he managed Espanyol.

Tbf with the team he has now anything other than the league and CL double will be seen as a failure and probably result in PSG once again looking for a new manager.
Why would he have joined Espanyol when he was Barca's greatest talent and already playing for them at 16? Do Barca often loan out their talent?

He’s signed a contract extension so I’m sure PSG are happy with how he’s running things. I’m sure he’ll win the league as this is his first season at the club (ja606 rules) as he took over a mess (ja606 rules) - as for the CL, they’d have to be favourites. It’s a challenge that I’m sure Poch would rather be part of than not.
