1. Infinitely small - Tino has a solid defence but it’s a youthful Liverpool side. Even if we don’t beat them, kids are far too soft these days.

2. In particular order, Spurs, Leicester, Chelsea, Wolves. Balance of Wolves and their midfield trumps defence for me so Ludy I’m putting just outside.
Watford (Sorry LC the kids are good but you keep selling your more established players!), and Liverpool.

3. Wolves best - a few big signings has really put them in the top 4 mix. Spurs a close second, but thought the Wolves signings make a bigger difference to their team.

Worst - Fan for not getting any of his big targets and now sitting on a massive budget.

4. For first team only real target I’d have loved, like everyone else, would be Messi but was never going to raise that cash.
I’d have liked Foden to complete an English side after signing Stones and Rice last week of last season but there’s no negotiations there. Haven’t had any real targets though as my backup has improved itself.

5. I would say Fan, but Spurs are clear favourites going into that match. I’d put Fan, Jet and Lubo in with similar odds on results - and myself on match report.

Fans league Press Conference Week 1

1) what do you think this week’s opponents chances are of finishing above you in the league?

Newcastle and Leicester for my respective clubs, if Wolves get about the Geordies it's a great season, if Liverpool climb above Leicester it cements my status as G.O.A.T

2) Predict your top 4 and bottom 2?
Spurs/Leicester/Newcastle/Chelsea
Watford (gap) Liverpool

3) Who do you think has had the best and worst transfer window over the summer?

Messi was the biggest signing no doubt, but his overall impact is lesser than the clutch of new signings at Wolves, so me. Fan had an absolute mare, managed to become the 3rd Billionaire in SG history then bottled Messi at the death and then lost out on Varane and blew Icardi as well.

4) Is there a particular transfer target you missed out on, and wish you’d gone higher?

Mess would have been nice but Diego Carlos, although for much less money his impact would have been more telling. At Liverpool just about everyone but Varane is a good pick up.

5) Who’s odds on for the first melt down of the season once Game-week 1’s results are out?
Rof/Fan/Jet are always odds on at the best of times, so I'm gonna go Jet when LC comes away with a point

1) what do you think this week’s opponents chances are of finishing above you in the league?

Based on starting XI alone they’re certainly in with a shout. I think their chances this season will lie in the hands of the injury gods as an injury to either Mbappe or Haaland and they don’t quite look the same animal, a scenario where they may possibly live to regret the sale of Neymar.

2) Predict your top 4 and bottom 2?

Top 4 - In no particular order, Spurs, Wolves, Leicester, Chelsea. With Newcastle very much in contention if ludes remembers to do tactics every week.

Bottom 2 - Watford, United - United squad is far too good to go down but the kamikaze no fullback tactics may continue to be their undoing.

3) Who do you think has had the best and worst transfer window over the summer?

Best - Wolves hands down. Neymar, Griezmann, Verratti and re-signing Insigne, Tino has played a blinder.

Worst - Hate to say it but think Chelsea had a bit of a mare. Not often the likes of Messi & Varane become available and with a bit more savviness they could have possibly signed both. Personally I’d have sold Insigne to Wolves to prevent them signing Griezzy. Messi would have been wrapped up for £650m and the cash injection could have been used to sign Varane. Hindsight ey

4) Is there a particular transfer target you missed out on, and wish you’d gone higher?

Messi was the dream although assumed he was unlikely. He’s very much a luxury signing but was the only one I was prepared to go big on.

5) Who’s odds on for the first melt down of the season once Game-week 1’s results are out?

Hopefully fan although he seems more chilled these days. Jet also has previous due to his undying love for the gunners. A poor result for either is unlikely to go down well.

1) what do you think this week’s opponents chances are of finishing above you in the league?

Who am I playing? I'll back myself to finish above them, unless it's Leicester or Spurs.

2) Predict your top 4 and bottom 2?

Leicester, Tottenham, Leeds, Chelsea. No particular order.

Watford and Man United to go down. No real reason for the latter, just a scmmy club.

3) Who do you think has had the best and worst transfer window over the summer?

Me, obviously. Maguire, Rudiger and Carlos in at CB. Improvements in my worst position, and Meslier will be the world's best one day.

4) Is there a particular transfer target you missed out on, and wish you’d gone higher?

Think I signed everyone I went in for. I'd have liked Hakimi, because think he'd suit my system down to the ground, but not to be. Why would I need to go for Messi when I could pick up Jack Harradonna so much cheaper?

5) Who’s odds on for the first melt down of the season once Game-week 1’s results are out?

Fan is the only correct answer, either after a Chelsea loss, or someone questioning a very small league rule. Full on trying to hand the league over to someone else straight away.

That or Nadz. Now us and Admins are aware of his criminal nature who knows what could happen.

1) what do you think this week’s opponents chances are of finishing above you in the league?

Chelsea - Spurs pretty much certs to finish above Chelsea, squad is far too good all over

City - Think its 50/50 in the eyes of everyone else, but I am pretty confident

2) Predict your top 4 and bottom 2?
Spurs, Leicester, Chelsea, Wolves

3) Who do you think has had the best and worst transfer window over the summer?
Wolves without doubt, Chelsea also without doubt

4) Is there a particular transfer target you missed out on, and wish you’d gone higher?
Chelsea - Varane I really wanted but didn't feel he was worth what he went for

City had no particular set targets, but are coming along nicely after sealing Kante in particular

5) Who’s odds on for the first melt down of the season once Game-week 1’s results are out?

Rof when they lose to Liverpool

1) what do you think this week’s opponents chances are of finishing above you in the league?

City have a very good side, and my injuries are very bad. They are favourites for sure. Regarding if they'd finish above me I think I'm going to finish last so unless City get a massive points deduction penalty, they should finish comfortably in mid table.

2) Predict your top 4 and bottom 2?

Spurs
Chelsea
Leicester
Newcastle

Watford
United

3) Who do you think has had the best and worst transfer window over the summer?

Tab for sure. He bought the second best player in the world Messi in and one of the best CB's out there in Varane.

Fan had a bit of a dud at Chelsea. He did ok at City tho.

4) Is there a particular transfer target you missed out on, and wish you’d gone higher?
Not really. I'm happy with my squad.

5) Who’s odds on for the first melt down of the season once Game-week 1’s results are out?

As Sun Tzu once famously said "To lose your anger after the first battle is a sign of a weak general. You must remember it is not who wins the battle but who wins the war"

I was not expecting to see Sun Tzu being quoted here. Weird league.

King Leo has arrived!

Ahead of the season Jamie Carragher caught up with the Spurs boss to get an exclusive on team selection and the question on everyone’s lips, will the big money signing be making his debut?

In a typically coy response the Spurs boss had these words to say,

“Listen Jamie, the boys are buzzing to get out there and to do it in front of a capacity crowd as Champions, well it’s just the stuff dreams are made of. I’ve been on the phone to Levy and told him to get some shelves put up in that trophy room, he assured me he’d be popping down to the Ikea discount section in the morning.”

When pressed on team selection and in particular, whether we will get to see their marquee signing in action,

“you bet your bottom dollar! Leo has been an absolute joy to watch on the training field and we’re excited to see him out there on the pitch. Team selection has been sorted although I’m keeping the boys on their toes until closer to the big game”

Finally, when asked on his thoughts on the opposition he quipped,

“Listen, anyone that writes off this Chelsea team needs to have their head examined. Yes they missed out on all of their summer transfer targets and yes they may be held back by their managers limited tactics, but any team that has Andy Robertson in it deserves to be respected, unless it’s Scotland”

Exciting times ahead for the North London giants.
