A young unproven in the PL player with a lot of potential but still young or a proven PL Player who is in his prime and at the top of his game and who supports us and has unfinished business here
Easy choice for me, Lukaku all day
Haaland would probably flop for us
We’ve bought one of the elite bundesliga strikers twice now and failed both times (Pizarro and Werner)
Even Havertz was the best player in the bundesliga bar Lewandowski and he’s been mediocre
We are a graveyard for strikers
Think Lukaku will smash it though, just watching us last night he is exactly what we need and the exact type of player we need. A lukaku / aguero / Lewandowski. We don’t need a Haaland
I thought Lukaku was widely considered to be a lumbering oaf these days?
Far better goalscorer than Drogba but the opposite to him in big games.

That was tongue in cheek. Rom is clearly far better than Defoe.
He got lean and Conte coached him a 1st touch, i think thats like 1 & 2 of the biggest complaints sorted
Conte is something of a coaching genius dont get me wrong. But fixing his first touch in training was a bit obvious surely
He’s also bang in his prime now, a baller, bigger and more powerful. Plus he’s a goal machine which is the one thing we lack, Werner does all the amazing play but can’t score, like most
We don’t need amazing play just a finisher

I think we need an internet cull of people who just hear narratives and peddle it out as fact. People actually fail to do their own research.
Didier drogba scored a premier league goal every 169 mins. 4 were penalties.
Romelu lukaku scored a pl goal every...168 mins!
6 pens.
Not sure where this narrative comes that drogba wasn’t a great goalscorer, I see this weird comment go round where he only scored 20 goals in 1 or 2 seasons, totally ignoring injuries and Acon.
Drogba was a great goalscorer who offered much more
Even if he just bangs vs the smaller teams that’s still bread and butter and where we struggle and need goals. We can never bury teams and put them away either and score 2,3,4 etc same as last night
He’ll do that. Doesn’t even matter in the big games we’ve already proved we don’t even need a striker or real striker for those

The Italian League is not as strong as the Prem, but Italian Football is far superior to the Prem when it comes to knowing how to defend. They invented the dark arts when it comes to stopping attacking teams/players playing either fairly or unfairly. Lukaku as an attacking player was clearly a success in that environment.
