He doesn't spend the money GB. In fact he has very little to do with any signings I believe.
Klopp out if he doesn’t win the PL or CL this season?
It does really annoy me, partially it’s jealousy, but this City side have blatantly bought the league for the last 10 or so years. Yet, we ignore the fact and heap praise on them and Pep year after year.
I know some will point to Liverpool and United sides of the past, but that’s doesn't exclude the point, and was the league as divided when it came to money at this scale in the past?

Pep should be under pressure to win either if not both with the amounts City keep spunking
Not sure why Klopp would be under anywhere the same pressure?
If City do get Kane (which they will I think ) then it would be an epic fail from City if they don’t win both !
But I would laugh my head off of Kane ant to win trophies and got a league cup
Bitter yep….oh well …..you have turned the head of our hero so I have a new found dislike for all things City
They are spending there winnings OP. You don't get financial rewards for winning 2 - 3 cups per season. Chelsea are a big threat this season too, no shame if they won trophies ahead of Man C

We've had seven different winners in the past ten years or something haven't we? I can't think of any other top league like that.
Highly over rated fraud... winning the little League cup every February impresses no-one
Tuchel is the real deal
City have sacked managers who have won the EPL but not the CL before. Arguably, based on City's prior actions he already should have been sacked. That being said it would be the stupidest thing any club has ever done.
In fairness to Pep you need a bit of luck to win the CL which he hasn’t really gotten.
It would be a failure if they don’t win the league though.
5yrs? ? Pep been there for 5yrs, u dont have 5yrs of bad luck. He has failed in the CL no.doubt, didnt Monaco knock them out? Then people tried to be smart in the CL final and paid for that vs cfc.
Pep has got City to the KO stages of the CL every season he has been in charge, no other serving manager has achieved that.
Throw in 3 league titles and 5 other domestic trophies along the way and only a idiot would brand him a failure

People repeat this statement every year but unlike many other sports cup football isn't as predictable as you think without a best of x format.
Arguably the most dominant squad in history (Pep's Barca) won the CL only 2 times in their prime years. And Real won it 4 times in a row with one of their worst aging squads and trainers in their long history (their fan's words not mine).
Pep just need to challenge on multiple fronts each year with their brand of football. The moment he plays like Mourinho or decides to 'focus on the league' he will be shown the door.

And be replaced by whom...
Why settle for a pale imitation when you can get the real busparker?
But most likely they will just pick the next exciting Barca or Ajax coach. Or even train one in their own ranks. I won't believe that as a young assistent coach you won't pick up concepts or idea's from the master if you work with him day in day out 5 years straight.

This
I can't think of anyone else out there who's ready to replace Pep tbh.
I'm sure someone will emerge in the next couple of seasons.
It’s quite sad how much opposition fans are seemingly intent on making Pep out to be a failure.
If winning 3 league titles, 4 league cups, 1 fa cup in 5 years constitutes failure (based solely on not winning another trophy), then football fans across the world can pretty much start to label every football manager in the world as a failure.
Regardless of that managers record throughout his career.
This kind of thread is pathetic. Probably created by a poster who doesn’t really believe it, but just wants to get a bite.
Ok, you’ve stuck a label on your own back saying kick me. I’ve kicked you. You can now laugh at me for kicking you.
Ask Pep if he's failed...he'd tell you he has
Sign in if you want to comment
Pep fails if he doesnt win CL or title.
