I've no qualms about fans having a go at players who don't put a shift in or just mince about on the pitch.. that's fair game.
Does annoy me when our fans sometimes give dogs abuse to players who simply aren't good enough, even when they are trying.
Like JFK has said.. it's not their fault they landed on their feet by getting a contract with the club despite not being good enough.

Zero talent, zero effort, stealing a wage.
For the record I don't think he has the ability to be first choice for us. But given the overhaul we need I would be happy enough to have him around as back up to someone better. I suspect we will end up with a loanee who will replace Ralston only to discover Ralston is better. A bit like he Laxalt/Taylor situation at LB
i think laxalt was probably decent tbh just not under a useless fud manager.
look at christie and mcgregor, look at the regression they suffered under that lazy dhick.

Ralston is going through a purple patch, but he is essentially a lump of wood, he's not agile or quick enough.
Shame, cos the lad has a lot of heart and tries hard.
He's not even a good option as backup.
This might sound harsh, but avoiding the truth doesn't do anyone any favours.

It would be what it would be to be honest and the same thing applies both ways.
Are we genuinely thinking we will be able to 1, go out and get 2 first team standard right backs; 2, keep both of them happy with appearances and 3, be able to afford them?
Not a chance. A back up is a back up. The finances of all Scottish football prevents us or anyone with being able to field two “first 11” sides. Why would right back be the position we would do that for? We don’t have that anywhere else in the squad.

And his own player in Robertson π
I see UEFA are in the process of changing FFP to a model similar to that of the La Liga, where there will be a cap on wages to 70% of income.
Both OF teams would fail that test apparently.. Celtic 77% and Rangers 73%
Whether UEFA actually do change it, and whether they can enforce it is another thing π

I hate uefa. I don't think they've had a good idea since European club competition and even then it wasn't theirs.
That change would also do nothing to prevent the current climate and wouldn't prevent the state owned clubs from squeezing everyone else out of the market as they are currently doing. It would just entrench the current financial gulf as smaller clubs will be forced into having smaller squads. It wouldn't depress wages across the game at all.
Football really is in a bit of a mess as a whole just now.. well the governance and financial side of things at least. It's pretty much a reflection on the rampant greed culture that permeates through all walks of life now. Money filtering its way into the hands of an elite few while the rest of us scrap over the rest.

All credit to the boy for the improvement in him. He’s clearly got the mentality to be a Celtic player but he’s got limits and he’s at them just now and it’s credit to Ange as well that he’s got those levels out him through good coaching.
We still need a significant upgrade though. Even Ange will know that.

He has all the hallmarks of a top class coach about him.
Bears desperate to describe him as our Pedro.
Then a quick shift to 'he's more like Warburton'.
Big Ange is in a completely different class to those two duffers. And easily a better coach than the scouse idiot you have at the moment...and fatty beale anaw.
