Shopping for bargains is always a risk

Your man Wright looks a cracking player in the making.. never seems to stop running and is pretty effective with the ball. Leaving a wee bit of end product but that'll come.. is he quite young still?
Sorry BP. Your posts are normally insightful and thought provoking.
In this one you ignore the simple fact that you are massively in debt and losing upwards of £2.5m a month with no significant saleable assets.
The club is in serious trouble and nobody wants to talk about it.
But Sakala ripped apart Real Madrid.
He was going to be amazing

Not for the past two seasons for Rangers.
They've had amazing luck with their recent buys, rock bottom fees or frees for six or seven players that have excelled for them.
Also diamonds in the form of McGregor, Davis and Defoe.
Gerrard must've made a deal with the Devil last season.
However.. this season you HAD to get that UCL monies or sell one or two top assets to offset the spend/debt.
Morelos/Kent/Kamara getting sold would probably raise about £20M.
Enough to keep the lights on
Ofoborh has health issues
Sakala has been fit once and looked lightening against RM (ropey touch though) feels like a Morelos replacement.
Lundstrum was outstanding last night
Can't expect players to come in and play that role well immediately. Midfield 3 with attacking full backs? Cvnt of a shift.
Simpson I don't like. I get that he's left footed and we point to the old form game but it's be honest, that was a minging Celtic side.
Wright has surprised even Gerrard. 6 months ahead of fitness plan and looks so composed. His pace isn't obvious against Scottish opponents playing a high block but he's still impressed. Looks every bit a Rangers player
Think you've been pretty unfair tbh.
Hope you're unaware of Ofoborh's health issue

I’m not sure it’s complacency as much as not working great so far
Last season was relatively unusual in the market we are in where most worked almost from the start
No knee jerk let’s give it a chance
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed and add to that missing Roofe and Kamara in the euro games, just needing time to gel.

Repeatedly
I can see Rangers raising money from the sale of one or more of their better players but so far (as we know anyway); nobody is showing any genuine interest at a level they want to sell at.
The interesting part will be to see that if monies are raised, does it get recycled back into the squad in an effort to get that automatic qualifying CL spot next season or does it go towards servicing debts and the like; having heard the notion that tax bills have been unpaid yet again. I’m not even sure if tax and or VAT bills are still able to be deferred due to Covid to be honest.
The share fund raising efforts so far appear to have been pretty unspectacular as well.
Let’s see.
Pitch invasion after the Utd v Ayr game....to be expected apparently...

What elephant..?
No need to panic. Only 2 league games played, won 1 lost 1. Still in Europa League. Quarters of league cup.
We had players like roofe and Kanara suspended and absent at short notice at tanadice.
Jack is due back soon - that will be big improvement in midfield.
Bassey, hagi and Wright looking great,
Lundstrum did well on Friday night.
BB and balogun hav been off the pace, but that will improve.
The new guys like Sakala will come onto their game soon enough.

"Leaving a wee bit of end product"
It wasn’t good enough and it’s fecked us already with us being put out the CL to fookin 10 men.
That and players not getting started for whatever reason has already cost us dearly this season. The Thursday/Sunday routine is fecking brutal.
